STALKER 2: Is there a point of no return?

The point of no return is a moment in the main plot of STALKER 2, after which you will not be able to go back to freely explore the Zone. On this guide page, we will give you tips on how to prepare for this moment and when it occurs.

When does the point of no return happen?

You will encounter the point of no return during the mission Down Below, when you descend into the underground of Pripyat. The game will display an information on the screen that you are approaching a point beyond which you will not be able to return.

After crossing the point of no return:

1. You will not be able to explore other parts of the map;
2. You will have quite limited possibilities to repair equipment and replenish supplies (a single visit to the store between missions and looted equipment);
3. All unfinished quests will be marked as failed.

Also worth noting - after the end credits, you will not be able to continue the game. To return to free exploration, you will have to load a save from before the point of no return.

What is worth doing before finishing the game?

Before crossing the point of no return, it's worth doing the following things:

1. Save the game (preferably with a manual save in the pause menu);
2. Improve and repair all equipment;
3. Collect supplies of ammunition and healing items.

Don't rush and calmly prepare yourself for the final stage of the story. This will allow you to enjoy the conclusion of Skif's story without any problems.
