STALKER 2: A Tough Awakening

After the prologue events, Skif will find himself in a rather unpleasant situation. Without a scanner and most of his equipment, the protagonist will have to follow the trail of a certain Solder to get back his belongings. On this guide page, we will explain how to complete the quest A Tough Awakening and how to get to the Zalissya settlement.
How to deactivate anomalies?
The quest A Tough Awakening will begin right after the game's prologue and title screen. Skif will wake up in the middle of a field, surrounded by dangerous gravitational anomalies. A man named Richter will come to your aid and give you a metal bolt. You can select it from the weapon selection wheel.
Metal bolts are used to detect and neutralize anomalies. Throw them in front of you to activate anomalies from a safe distance and temporarily deactivate them. The secure time slot only lasts a few seconds, so make sure you're quick about this.
Skif has an infinite supply of bolts, so you can throw them as much as you want.
Use the bolts to escape from the field surrounded by anomalies. Afterwards, talk to Richter who is standing on a nearby hill. He will direct you to the nearby stalker settlement: Zalissya.
Before you head to the safe haven, wander around the surrounding buildings and stock up on supplies. The attackers from the prologue stripped you of all your equipment except for a pistol.
You can now head north-east towards the village. As you walk along the road you will quickly come across a group of three bandits, who are busy fighting a stalker in a building. Take advantage of the chaos and attack the attackers. The loot from their bodies will provide you with basic weapons.
You can also talk to the man in the building. He will thank you for your help and offer an optional side task.
Zalissya
Once you have completed all the side activities that interest you, continue your journey to the settlement. We recommend you to stick to the main road. The probability of encountering dangers there is somewhat lower.
Go to the bar (the green building in the central part of the settlement). There, you will witness a tense conversation between Gaffer and Cpt. Zotov. Once the discussion is over, the quest will come to an end.
