Dangerous Liaisons is a main mission in STALKER 2, during which you will ultimately declare your attitude towards the Ward. On this page, we explain how to get to the military base and what consequences the choice has during the conversation with Korshunov.

How to get to the Ward's base?

The Dangerous Liaisons mission will start immediately after the end of the Subtle Matter quest. Head to the military base indicated by Strelok. It is located north of Malachite.

  1. If you supported the Ward in the Back on the Slag Heap mission and received a badge, you can enter through the main entrance.
  2. However, if you don't have a Ward badge, head to the southern wall of the outpost and climb over the wall using the rusty stairs.

Pass by the helicopter wreck and go down the ladder in one of the shafts.

Open the steel door using the decoder.

The corridor will lead you to the stairs, where you will have to defeat a group of Wards.

On the upper floor, find the room with computers and go through the door to the stairwell. It will lead you to the control room. Press the red button on the dashboard.

Go into the room with the televisions and watch the cutscene.

After the story section, proceed to the next room, and then go through the ventilation shaft. After opening the next door, another plot sequence awaits.

What are the consequences of the choice during the conversation with Korshunov?

During the cutscene, Skif will be incapacitated by a squad of Wards led by Colonel Korshunov. During the conversation with the military, you will face a choice that will define the game ending.

  1. By choosing the option "I'm not your enemy," you will permanently align yourself with the Ward. This choice overrides all previous decisions related to factions and can be chosen even if you previously fought with the Ward. This option will direct you straight to the mission The Boundary and the Ward ending.
  2. By choosing to escape, you will block the possibility of forming an alliance and ending the game on the side of the Ward. The endings of Strelok, Kaymanov, and Spark will remain available for you. After completing the current mission, you will have to do an extra quest - Escape from the Cage.

Regardless of the chosen option, after the conversation is over, the mission will come to an end.
