Unlocking the first confrontation

1. To complete Deadly Blade, Demon Belle story quest, you'll need to defeat two bosses. This is one of the story missions from Edo region, which is Act 2 of the campaign.
2. Shortly after the start of the mission, you'll reach a dojo and meet Sana Chiba. You have to cover for Ryoma and take part in a sparring session against the woman.

How to win against Sana Chiba?

1. In the course of this and the second battle, both sides use practice weapons, nevertheless, they can inflict damage and deplete Ki same as normal ones. You won't have any companions joining the fight, which means a one-on-one encounter.
2. You can use healing items during the battle. On the other hand, using ranged weapons (e.g. revolver) is strictly prohibited following the nature of the encounter.
3. Sana Chiba mainly make use of 2-hit and 3-hit melee combinations. She has the ability to instantly close the distance between combatants and you should be prepared for this eventuality.

1. Among the red attacks of the boss, we have a kick, but it is rather easy to parry. Nevertheless, you can use a safer option and simply dodge.
2. Another red attack, which is an aerial slash (screenshot), is very dangerous. Mitigating this attack, either by dodging or parrying, requires good timing. In case of failing to avoid the attack, the hero will be knocked down and additionally struck by Chiba's weapon, without the option to mitigate or avoid the attack.

Unlocking the second confrontation

1. After defeating Sana Chiba, you can use the Banner in the room - interact with it to save your progress and replenish supplies.
2. After leaving the building, you'll meet Hachiro Kiyokawa, and following a short conversation, the second battle will begin.

How to win against Hachiro Kiyokawa?

1. Initially, Hachiro only wields one weapon. When it comes to normal attacks, the boss mainly relies on sluggish swings and this may make it easier to mitigate them. Expect combinations of up to 3 strikes. Other moves include e.g. a stab.

1. One of the boss's red attacks is a dash with the weapon held close to the ground. This attack is often activated when the boss is close to your hero, or after he has moved around the arena a lot.
2. Another red attack is a jump followed by a powerful ground slam (screenshot above). This action is signalled in advance and you can attempt to parry it. Alternatively, dodging works the same and it is easier to do it.

1. In the second phase of the battle, Hachiro will dual-wield practice weapons. Among others, watch out for a combination of 2 red attacks. You have to avoid both attacks one after another.
2. After the battle is won, new conversations will begin. Completing this quest unlocks Bonds with 3 different characters - Sana Chiba, Hachiro Kiyokawa and Shusaku Chiba.
