At some point in Rise of the Ronin, Blade Twin will become a boss. This page of the guide describes the first confrontation with the Blade Twin in the Yokohama consulate, taking place during the Follow Your Blade Twin main quest. You will find out how to get to the boss arena and how to deal with the attacks of your former ally.
This page has spoilers from the prologue - we inform about the circumstances of the main characters' separation.
Where is the boss?
- In the prologue of the campaign, you faced the boss Matthew Perry, and after winning this fight, the Blue Demon appeared. You had to sacrifice one of the Blade Twins - playable heroes.
- The Twin you did not choose did not die on the ship. Instead, that person will appear in the first act of the game as a boss representing hostile interests.
- The confrontation with the former playable hero will take place during the Follow Your Blade Twin main quest. You must ally with 1 of the 2 factions and will start a separate mission at the consulate in Yokohama. You need to get the key to the ballroom from one of the opponents. Upon reaching the room where Harris is, the confrontation with the Blade Twin will begin.
How to defeat the Blade Twin?
- Before starting the duel, adjust your combat style to the boss's - blue arrows should appear next to the boss's health bar.
- During the fight, use Counterspark or a revolver to stop the boss's regular attacks. This can gradually charge the Blade Twin's panic bar, which will allow you to deal a critical hit.
- The boss often uses a grappling rope - these may be red attacks. They are exceptionally difficult to block - it would be better to dodge them and not get caught.
- In the second part of the fight, the boss can change their combat style - the game will warn you about this (message in the picture above). Just like before, try to choose a weapon and style that will allow for high efficiency (blue arrows).
- Another difficulty will be the shooter above the ballroom. Deal with him first - use any ranged weapon (preferably a rifle) to kill the enemy.
- The game won't let you kill the Blade Twin, but you have to deplete the entire boss's health bar to end this fight.
