One of the categories of collectibles/secrets in the third region of the game - Kyoto - is photography, and you can engage in this activity once you obtain the camera which happens already in Act 1 of Rise of the Ronin. Komainu lion-dogs at Aburanokoji (Aburanokoji)
You need to photograph both lion-dog statues. They are located on the sides of the stairs leading to the temple.
Yasaka Shrine (Gion)
This is an easy photo where you need to capture the main building of the shrine.
Sanjusangendo Hall (Higashiyama)
You need to photograph the large pavilion - point yourself east to find the correct frame.
Kiyomizu (Higashiyama)
You need to enter the square before Kiyozumidera temple and photograph its main buildings.
The Sanenzaka Slope and Hokanji Temple (Higashiyama)
Place yourself near the steep steps between the buildings and photograph the pagoda of Hokanji temple.
Shinsenen Temple (Horikawa)
This is a simple photograph - capture the main building in the temple limits.
Tomb of Lord Nobunaga (Karasuma)
This photograph opportunity is inside a Public Order location, which means a large camp held by several bandits. Reach the southeastern part of the ruined temple and photograph the tomb by the eastern wall.
Karasumaru Slope (Karasuma)
Place yourself near the road. The photo must include stairs and the gate visible in the distance.
Kamogawa River - Riverside Terrace (Kawaramachi)
You must photograph the titular terrace with civilians watching the show along with a bridge over the river visible in the background.
The Bridge of Sanjo (Sanjo)
Stand in the vantage point on rocks near the river and photograph the bridge to the southeast.
Willow at the exit of Shimabara pleasure district (Shimabara)
You must take a photograph of both the willow and the western gate of the pleasure district.
Shimogamo Shrine Road (Shirakawa)
You need to photograph a small bridge over the river found north from the marker. The mentioned bridge leads to the main gate of the Shimogamo shrine.
What a view! (Shirakawa)
Travel to Nanzenji Temple. Look for kites in the air east from the marker. You can use them to catapult yourself and you need to adjust the flight to land on the roof of the western building of the temple.
Standing on the roof, photograph the Kyoto skyline - a part of the city you can see by looking to the west from the temple.
