At the very end of the second act of Rise of the Ronin, you will face another boss, the Blade Twin. This guide page describes the confrontation with the Blade Twin in the burning part of Kyoto - we provide information about the boss's attacks and the recommended combat tactics.
Fight with Blade Twin at the end of act 2
- You will face the Blade Twin for the third time in the main story at the end of chapter 2.
- Blade Twin will appear in the burning part of Kyoto, but you will need to deal with other bosses before this fight first. Fortunately, the game at the start of this fight should replenish your supplies - you don't have to start the duel with a weakened character.
Description of the fight with Blade Twin
- Blade Twin can apply lightning to their weapon, inflicting electric damage. They can impose a negative state on your character, which means that you need to dodge/parry more often.
- The boss can perform a series of melee attacks, as well as lightning-fast charges, which don't give you much time to react. Right after finishing the charge, the Blade Twin can immediately launch another attack.
- In the arena, there are objects to grab with the grappling rope - these can be, for example, weapons stuck in the ground or red barrels. Throw them when the Blade Twin is busy fighting your allies. Otherwise, the boss can easily parry your throw and won't receive any damage.
- Blade Twin is capable of parrying your attacks. If that happens, retreat quickly, because otherwise you may easily lose all or most of your ki bar, making you an easy target for the opponent.
- Blade Twin's red attacks are again primarily those that involve using a grappling rope. Try to prevent the boss from using this weapon, or do a perfect parry when the Blade Twin pulls themselves towards you.
- Electric attacks from the air are also problematic and it is better not to risk trying to parry them, because a successful attack can instantly deprive your character of the entire ki bar and paralyze you for a few moments.
- After defeating the boss, Blade Twin will leave the battlefield and after a few cut-scenes, you will advance to chapter 3.
