Shortly after starting the second act of Rise of the Ronin, your hero must face a pair of strong bosses - Blade Twin and Rutherford Alcock. This takes place in The Fire Attack main mission in Edo. In our guide, we suggest, among other things, how to react to Alcock's attempts to poison the hero, how the Ki Blaze can affect the battle, and how to react to Blade Twin's dangerous red attacks.
Unlocking confrontation in Edo
- You must advance to the second act of the campaign, which takes place in the Edo region. In the initial part of this chapter, you will start the main mission called The Fire Attack.
- As part of the mission, you must first break through a large construction site and then reach a large burning building on a hill. In the place from the picture, you will find a banner to save progress and after going around the next barricade, you will start a boss fight.
Boss fight with Alcock and the Blade Twin
- You have to defeat 2 bosses in a single fight. Your character can be accompanied by a maximum of 2 allies. Focus on one of the bosses to eliminate them faster.
- In the initial part of the fight, it's worth using the grappling rope to grab red barrels, which are plentiful in the area. Throw them at the bosses to deal damage. If they are destroyed, you will lose the chance to easily weaken the enemies.
- Beware of Alcock's ranged attacks. White projectiles simply deal damage, but green arrows can poison the hero. It's worth having the right type of antidote ready to cure poison. This will make you stop losing health points.
- Alcock can also throw poisonous bombs - try to quickly move away from the places where they are supposed to explode.
- Rutherford can activate Ki Blaze, which you'll recognize by his melee weapon lighting up and his ki bar changing color. As a reminder, this state strengthens the boss and his attacks. Try to perform counters that can deplete the boss's ki bar. This will ultimately make him deactivate this ability.
- Your hero can also use Ki Blaze, too. Activate it when the Triangle and Circle buttons are visible below your ki bar. Use this ability to inflict as much damage as possible before it ends.
- In the case of the Blade Twin, you should also remember the previous confrontation in the consulate building in Yokohama. This boss is very agile and their combos are hard to stop.
- Watch out for the Twin's red attacks, which involve, among other things, using a grappling rope or leaping towards the hero. It will be safer to avoid some of them and not risk parrying them.
- Take advantage of the fact that Blade Twin can fight with your companions. You should also heal the fallen allies. You won't be able to defeat the Blade Twin this time - you will face them again later in the game.
