Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises
How to unlock: Learned that your Blade Twin is still alive.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
Infiltrate the Prison Complex
How to unlock: Made your way to Shoin Yoshida.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
A Happy Memory
How to unlock: Took a photograph at the request of Taka Murayama.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: After arriving in the Edo region at the end of chapter 1, you can unlock A Light in Darkness bond mission related to Taka - it starts in the Yoshiwara Pleasure District. Complete it immediately, because you won't be able to meet with Taka later in the game.
At the end of the mission, Taka will ask the main character to take her picture. Take out your camera and photograph the woman.
Black Ships, Long Shadows
How to unlock: Cleared Chapter 1.

How to unlock: Spoke with Kaishu Katsu at the Sumida River.

How to unlock: Learned the identity of the mysterious samurai at the duel.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
Strange Bedfellows
How to unlock: Brokered a truce between the Roshigumi and the Choshu clan.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it. The trophy is awarded regardless of the faction choice made at the end of chapter 2 (pro- or anti-shogunate).
Cities of Darkness
How to unlock: Cleared Chapter 2.

Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
The Satsuma-Choshu Alliance
How to unlock: Persuaded Takamori Saigo.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
The Battle of Toba-Fushimi
How to unlock: Brought the Battle of Toba-Fushimi to an end.

A Veiled Edge’s Future
How to unlock: Sealed the fate of your Blade Twin.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: You will receive the trophy regardless of the chosen ending, i.e. the decision regarding the Blade Twin. We described it on the page Are there different endings?.
The Dawn of a New Japan
How to unlock: Cleared Chapter 3.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss it.
Threads of Fate
How to unlock: Established your first bond.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: The achievement cannot be missed. You will establish your first personal bond with Ryoma, which will happen during The Bridge to Yokohama main quest.
One Good Turn Deserves Another
How to unlock: Gave your first gift.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Gifts can be found as loot, received as rewards (quests, activities) or purchased in stores.
You can give gifts when you talk to characters with whom you have established a personal bond. You can meet them, for example, at their place of work or they may appear in the hero's longhouse. During the conversation, select the dialogue option with the gift icon (example in the picture) and choose a gift from the list.
Veiled Vow
How to unlock: Started your first romantic relationship.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: The requirements for a romantic relationship are described on the Romances page. For this trophy, you can choose any romance candidate. An easy character to romance is Usugumo Dayu - you can develop a personal bond with her up to the maximum 4th level after finding a total of 80 cats. You don't have to take her on missions, nor give her gifts.
Fateful Encounter
How to unlock: Achieved your first Lv.4 Personal Bond.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You can get this trophy while trying to get the Veiled Vow trophy. You can check your progress in the bonds tab. You will unlock the trophy when you reach the highest level 4 for any personal bond. It can be any person from the list, not necessarily someone you can romance.
Home Sweet Home
How to unlock: Achieved your first Lv.3 Area Bond.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You can choose any area from any region - each of them has a separate personal bond and is displayed when you highlight it on the world map (the picture shows an example for the Yamashita area).
You can increase the bond level by doing things from the list of secrets and activities. Additionally, you can deal with, for example, random events that are unlocked while staying in a given area. Some areas are easier to advance in than others. Go to another place on the map if you haven't reached level 3 despite completing 100% of the tasks on the list.
Collector
How to unlock: Earned your first Completion Reward.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: There is a good chance that you will get the trophy while trying to get the Home Sweet Home trophy. You must complete 100% of activities for any area - these can be secrets (e.g. shrines, cats, chests), banners, enemy camps, hideouts of fugitives or activities (e.g. firearm training). It's best to choose a region that has fewer things on the list and which do not require a large amount of time.
Good to Go
How to unlock: Upgraded your armor, weapon and sub-weapon.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Visit any blacksmith - they are marked on the world map. In the blacksmith menu, select the equipment upgrade option (image above).
You need to upgrade any armor element (e.g. head piece), any melee weapon and any ranged weapon (e.g. revolver, rifle, bow).
Transfer of Power
How to unlock: Performed your first Bond Transfer.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: All steps are described on the FAQ page How to perform Bond Transfer?.
Resonance
How to unlock: Equipped four or more pieces of equipment with the same set bonus for the first time.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Some pieces of equipment have information that they are part of a set - it is displayed in the first window (e.g. Gunslinger).
Place an equipment item from the set of the same name in each of the 4 armor slots. The game should continuously update the information about the number of items from the set and it must ultimately show that you have 4 pieces (example in the picture above).
Fresh Start
How to unlock: Remodeled your longhouse for the first time.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You will unlock the longhouse by progressing in the main story. Select the Remodel option and then any of the cosmetic items you own. You can receive new decor elements as rewards from, e.g. selected quests.
Traveling Through Time
How to unlock: Retried a mission for the first time using the Testament of the Soul.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You will unlock the Testament of the Soul for the first time after arriving in the Edo region. We discussed its use in more detail on the Important choices and factions page.
After activating the Testament of the Soul (longhouse or book icon on the map), select any of the completed missions from the list and confirm that you want to replay it. For the trophy, it's best to choose one of the initial missions since they are easier.
Striver’s License
How to unlock: Received the highest rank (Master) at the dojo.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Training at the dojo is one of the types of activities on the world map. You will have your first sparring match in the dojo in Yokohama during the main story - this will unlock the activity. The next dojos are in Edo and Kyoto.
In order to achieve this, you need to score at least 7,000 points. The score is influenced by time and damage received. It is best to play on the lowest difficulty level.
Horseback Hero
How to unlock: Received the highest rank (Master) in horseback archery.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Horse archery is one of the types of activities on the world map. They will start appearing in Yokohama after making enough progress in the story. You will also find these markers in the Edo and Kyoto regions.
To get this trophy, you must obtain at least 9,000 points. You need to hit the targets accurately and reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
Winged Warrior
How to unlock: Received the highest rank (Master) in gliding training.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Gliding Training is one of the types of activities on the world map. They will start appearing in Yokohama after making enough progress in the story. You will also find these markers in the Edo and Kyoto regions.
To get this trophy, you need to obtain the required number of points for the Master rank (it may vary depending on the location). You need to break the next targets in the air and manage to complete the challenge before the ki bar runs out. Some upgrades from the Technology Development can make this challenge easier. The upgrade shown in the picture will allow you to fly faster.
Firearm Genius
How to unlock: Received the highest rank (Master) in firearms training.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Firearm Training is one of the types of activities on the world map. They will start appearing in Yokohama after making enough progress in the story. You will also find these markers in the Edo and Kyoto regions.
In order to achieve this, you need to score at least 7,000 points. You need to hit the targets accurately and make it in time.
Cheater Beater
How to unlock: Caught 5 cheaters while playing Odds and Evens.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: Odds and Evens is a gambling mini-game that you can play in each of the dojos (there is 1 such location per region).
After playing the game with a cheater, you can confront and defeat him in combat. You then have to bribe or use Persuasion on the dojo employee to allow you to continue the game. Defeat a total of 5 different cheaters.
Style Guru
How to unlock: Mastered three combat styles.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: This trophy is related to progress in the main story. You can't miss this trophy - you will unlock it in chapter 3.
A Jack of One Trade is a Master of All
How to unlock: Mastered one of the four stat types.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: The main statistics are Strength, Dexterity, Charm and Intellect. Each of them is associated with a separate skill tree. Your task is to purchase all skills from any tree. Try to focus on your favorite tree from the beginning as much as possible, instead of spreading development points among all four trees.
In addition to regular skill points, you will also need rare skill points. They can be, among others, rewards for selected karma levels, increasing bonds with NPCs, or reading treatises in the inventory. One of the Treatises is shown in our picture - besides getting them for free, you can buy them from selected NPCs (for example rare Strength Treaties from Officials).
Contraption Creator
How to unlock: Conducted Technology Development 15 times.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: In Chapter 1, during the main story, you will unlock the Technology Development location - your hero can buy new inventions from Igashichi.
You will need, among other things, foreign books, which you can receive as rewards from quests or find in large treasure chests. There are more than 15 inventions to develop and for the purpose of the trophy, choose those with the lowest requirements.
Shadow Stalker
How to unlock: Succeeded in carrying out 100 assassinations.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: The game will teach you about assassinations in the prologue. You can approach enemies from behind and stab them or jump down/land on them. Try to use stealth attacks whenever you visit a hostile location.
Keeper of the Peace
How to unlock: Defeated 50 fugitives.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: As you explore the game world, the game will mark the fugitives' hideouts on the map. These are mini-bosses you have to defeat. Check their descriptions and choose those with levels lower than the hero's level, which will make it easier for you to defeat them (you can also set the difficulty level to easy). In the game, there are more than 50 fugitives, but you don't have to kill them all.
Fancy Meeting You Here
How to unlock: Had 50 Chance Encounters.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: While traveling through the game world, you can come across random events. You can always recognize them by the flag icon - an example is shown in the picture (it may have different colors).
Events are varied and can involve, for example, defeating a group of enemies, fighting an honorable duel, finding a lost item, or giving a donation. You don't have to do all the events, since you will encounter new ones regularly.
Moneybags
How to unlock: Saved 150,000 sen.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You can check the amount of coins you have in the Equipment tab - it is in the lower right corner of the screen (example in the picture).
To get this trophy, do not make unnecessary purchases and rely on equipment obtained as loot or received as rewards from quests. You can also accumulate coins faster, for example by selling unnecessary items or buying skills that allow you to find more coins from defeated enemies.
Well-Rounded Ronin
How to unlock: Reached Level 55.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You should get this trophy in the final phase of the campaign. Engage in all activities on the maps and do all quests. Additionally, do not skip battles during missions, because every defeated enemy is worth some XP.
Friendly Neighborhood Ronin
How to unlock: Completed all Bond Missions.
Trophy type: gold
Comment: Bond missions are one of the quest categories. They have a unique icon in the journal. They are associated with allies you encounter during the story.
Some bond missions are initially blocked and may require, for example, advancing your personal bond with a given character to level 2. We recommend dealing with this immediately, for example by giving presents to a certain companion at regular intervals.
Social Climber
How to unlock: Took part in missions with all available allies.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: On the mission preparation screen, you can take a maximum of 2 allies with you (example in the picture). Not everyone is always available, because for example, the course of the mission may be contrary to the interests of a given ally. You recruit most characters automatically as you progress through the game, but some have specific requirements. They are:
- Akikatsu Manabe - you must refrain from murdering Naosuke in The Sakurada Gate Incident mission
- Alexandra Moreau

- Deishu Takahashi - you must have a sparring with him at the military academy in the Edo region

If necessary, remember that you can use Testament of the Soul. Thanks to it, you can repeat completed missions and choose different companions when you go through them again.
Martial Arts Maniac
How to unlock: Defeated enemies using every weapon.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: There are 9 categories of melee weapons (Bayonet, Greatsword, Katana, Odachi, Oxtail Blade, Paired Swords Polearm, Saber, Spear). You don't have to buy them, because you can find them in large quantities as loot. Choose any weapon from the given group and kill any enemy with it (preferably a lower level one).
Sightseer
How to unlock: Completed all photograph spots.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: Photographs are a category of collectibles in the game. Places to take photos appear on the world map as you explore new areas - they have a camera icon. You can also display additional information about the photo requirements (example in the picture).
In total, you need to take 44 photographies - these places can be found in all 3 regions.
Cats Over All
How to unlock: Collected all cats.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: Cats are a category of collectibles in the game. Cat locations appear on the world map as you explore new areas - they have a cat icon. You can scare sleeping cats so you have to sneak up on them. In other cases, you just need to approach them and press R1.
In total, you need to collect 100 cats - these animals can be found in all 3 regions.
Solitary Ronin
How to unlock: Completed a mission without allies.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: On the mission preparation screen, you can select a maximum of 2 allies. Do not choose anyone, and if there are any companions proposed by the game, manually remove them from the list of team members. Play any mission without companions (preferably an easy one from the early stage of the game).
Life Saver
How to unlock: Completed a No-Kill Mission's objectives.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: We have described the way to get this trophy on the FAQ page How to complete the mission without killing anyone?.
Tears of a Blue Demon
How to unlock: Managed to beat the Blue Demon aboard the Black Ship.
Trophy type: silver
Comment: The circumstances of the first fight with the Blue Demon in the prologue and the tactics are described on the Blue Demon page in the Bosses chapter.
Midnight Crossing
How to unlock: Completed an optional ronin mission with the Midnight difficulty setting enabled.
Trophy type: gold
Comment: Midnight is an additional, highest difficulty level that you will unlock after completing the main story.
Change the difficulty level and use the Testament of the Soul to replay any story mission. Choose one that is short so you can quickly reach the boss and in which companions can more easily distract the boss.
The Greater Opportunity
How to unlock: Saved Shinsaku Takasugi's life.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: For this trophy, you must complete all 4 bond missions related to Takasugi. The last fourth mission becomes available only after reaching bond level 3 with this character.
Farewell, Black Cat
How to unlock: Saved Soji Okita's life.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: For this trophy, you must complete 2 bond missions that are related to Soji. They only become available if you help the pro-shogunate.
Twilight Fencer
How to unlock: Saved Ryoma Sakamoto's life.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: For this trophy, you must complete all 4 bond missions related to Ryoma. This needs to be done before starting the final quest, in which Ryoma may die if you haven't done his missions earlier. If he dies, use the Testament of the Soul to go back to the moment before starting the finale. Finish his storyline and then repeat the finale.
Dive of the Ronin
How to unlock: Glided from the elevated deck at Kiyomizudera Temple.
Trophy type: bronze
Comment: You can only reach the temple after unlocking the Kyoto region. It is located in the southeastern area of Higashiyama (picture above). Jump off the temple's main balcony.
