Comment: Gifts can be found as loot, received as rewards (quests, activities) or purchased in stores.

You can give gifts when you talk to characters with whom you have established a personal bond. You can meet them, for example, at their place of work or they may appear in the hero's longhouse. During the conversation, select the dialogue option with the gift icon (example in the picture) and choose a gift from the list.

Comment: The requirements for a romantic relationship are described on the Romances page. For this trophy, you can choose any romance candidate. An easy character to romance is Usugumo Dayu - you can develop a personal bond with her up to the maximum 4th level after finding a total of 80 cats. You don't have to take her on missions, nor give her gifts.

Comment: You can get this trophy while trying to get the Veiled Vow trophy. You can check your progress in the bonds tab. You will unlock the trophy when you reach the highest level 4 for any personal bond. It can be any person from the list, not necessarily someone you can romance.

How to unlock: Achieved your first Lv.3 Area Bond.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You can choose any area from any region - each of them has a separate personal bond and is displayed when you highlight it on the world map (the picture shows an example for the Yamashita area).

You can increase the bond level by doing things from the list of secrets and activities. Additionally, you can deal with, for example, random events that are unlocked while staying in a given area. Some areas are easier to advance in than others. Go to another place on the map if you haven't reached level 3 despite completing 100% of the tasks on the list.

Collector

Comment: There is a good chance that you will get the trophy while trying to get the Home Sweet Home trophy. You must complete 100% of activities for any area - these can be secrets (e.g. shrines, cats, chests), banners, enemy camps, hideouts of fugitives or activities (e.g. firearm training). It's best to choose a region that has fewer things on the list and which do not require a large amount of time.

You need to upgrade any armor element (e.g. head piece), any melee weapon and any ranged weapon (e.g. revolver, rifle, bow).

Comment: Some pieces of equipment have information that they are part of a set - it is displayed in the first window (e.g. Gunslinger).

Place an equipment item from the set of the same name in each of the 4 armor slots. The game should continuously update the information about the number of items from the set and it must ultimately show that you have 4 pieces (example in the picture above).

Comment: You will unlock the longhouse by progressing in the main story. Select the Remodel option and then any of the cosmetic items you own. You can receive new decor elements as rewards from, e.g. selected quests.

Comment: You will unlock the Testament of the Soul for the first time after arriving in the Edo region. We discussed its use in more detail on the Important choices and factions page.

After activating the Testament of the Soul (longhouse or book icon on the map), select any of the completed missions from the list and confirm that you want to replay it. For the trophy, it's best to choose one of the initial missions since they are easier.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Training at the dojo is one of the types of activities on the world map. You will have your first sparring match in the dojo in Yokohama during the main story - this will unlock the activity. The next dojos are in Edo and Kyoto.

In order to achieve this, you need to score at least 7,000 points. The score is influenced by time and damage received. It is best to play on the lowest difficulty level.

Horseback Hero

Comment: Gliding Training is one of the types of activities on the world map. They will start appearing in Yokohama after making enough progress in the story. You will also find these markers in the Edo and Kyoto regions.

To get this trophy, you need to obtain the required number of points for the Master rank (it may vary depending on the location). You need to break the next targets in the air and manage to complete the challenge before the ki bar runs out. Some upgrades from the Technology Development can make this challenge easier. The upgrade shown in the picture will allow you to fly faster.

Firearm Genius

Comment: The main statistics are Strength, Dexterity, Charm and Intellect. Each of them is associated with a separate skill tree. Your task is to purchase all skills from any tree. Try to focus on your favorite tree from the beginning as much as possible, instead of spreading development points among all four trees.

In addition to regular skill points, you will also need rare skill points. They can be, among others, rewards for selected karma levels, increasing bonds with NPCs, or reading treatises in the inventory. One of the Treatises is shown in our picture - besides getting them for free, you can buy them from selected NPCs (for example rare Strength Treaties from Officials).

Comment: In Chapter 1, during the main story, you will unlock the Technology Development location - your hero can buy new inventions from Igashichi.

You will need, among other things, foreign books, which you can receive as rewards from quests or find in large treasure chests. There are more than 15 inventions to develop and for the purpose of the trophy, choose those with the lowest requirements.

Shadow Stalker

Comment: The game will teach you about assassinations in the prologue. You can approach enemies from behind and stab them or jump down/land on them. Try to use stealth attacks whenever you visit a hostile location.

To get this trophy, do not make unnecessary purchases and rely on equipment obtained as loot or received as rewards from quests. You can also accumulate coins faster, for example by selling unnecessary items or buying skills that allow you to find more coins from defeated enemies.

Comment: Bond missions are one of the quest categories. They have a unique icon in the journal. They are associated with allies you encounter during the story.

Some bond missions are initially blocked and may require, for example, advancing your personal bond with a given character to level 2. We recommend dealing with this immediately, for example by giving presents to a certain companion at regular intervals.

You don't have to buy them, because you can find them in large quantities as loot. Choose any weapon from the given group and kill any enemy with it (preferably a lower level one).

Comment: Photographs are a category of collectibles in the game. Places to take photos appear on the world map as you explore new areas - they have a camera icon. You can also display additional information about the photo requirements (example in the picture).

In total, you need to take 44 photographies - these places can be found in all 3 regions.

Cats Over All

Trophy type: silver

Comment: Cats are a category of collectibles in the game. Cat locations appear on the world map as you explore new areas - they have a cat icon. You can scare sleeping cats so you have to sneak up on them. In other cases, you just need to approach them and press R1.

In total, you need to collect 100 cats - these animals can be found in all 3 regions.

Solitary Ronin

How to unlock: Completed a mission without allies.

Comment: On the mission preparation screen, you can select a maximum of 2 allies. Do not choose anyone, and if there are any companions proposed by the game, manually remove them from the list of team members. Play any mission without companions (preferably an easy one from the early stage of the game).

How to unlock: Managed to beat the Blue Demon aboard the Black Ship.

Midnight Crossing

How to unlock: Completed an optional ronin mission with the Midnight difficulty setting enabled.

Trophy type: gold

Comment: Midnight is an additional, highest difficulty level that you will unlock after completing the main story.

Change the difficulty level and use the Testament of the Soul to replay any story mission. Choose one that is short so you can quickly reach the boss and in which companions can more easily distract the boss.

The Greater Opportunity

How to unlock: Saved Shinsaku Takasugi's life.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: For this trophy, you must complete all 4 bond missions related to Takasugi. The last fourth mission becomes available only after reaching bond level 3 with this character.

How to unlock: Saved Soji Okita's life.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: For this trophy, you must complete 2 bond missions that are related to Soji. They only become available if you help the pro-shogunate.

Twilight Fencer

How to unlock: Saved Ryoma Sakamoto's life.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: For this trophy, you must complete all 4 bond missions related to Ryoma. This needs to be done before starting the final quest, in which Ryoma may die if you haven't done his missions earlier. If he dies, use the Testament of the Soul to go back to the moment before starting the finale. Finish his storyline and then repeat the finale.
