Starting a duel with Tatsugoro

1. One of the story missions in act 2 taking place in the Edo region is The Chivalry of the Denshutai.
2. As part of the mentioned mission, you first have to deal with several groups of arsonists. Then you will return to the main temple, where Tatsugoro Shinmon resides - after a brief exchange of words, the boss fight will begin.

How to defeat the boss?

1. Tatsugoro uses a large melee weapon and often performs dangerous spinning attacks. Stopping them with parries can be challenging and it is safer to get out of their range and wait for the boss to end his attack. Counterattack immediately, because Tatsugoro will rest for a brief moment.

1. The boss also has red attacks. This could be, for example, a thrust. Since this attack goes in a straight line, you can either dodge it or risk a parry.
2. The boss's easier red attack is hitting the ground with his weapon. It is clearly signaled - try to stop him or avoid contact with the boss's weapon in advance.

1. Later in the fight, regular enemies may join in. We recommend continuing to focus on attacking Shinmon. Your companions should start fighting with the boss's minions.
2. Critical hits and using Ki Blaze after receiving the message that you can activate it can help you win the fight faster. Use the Ki Blaze for a series of strong attacks.
3. You will not end the battle by killing Tatsugoro. He will become your ally and you will unlock a personal bond with this character.
