The Omi Inn Incident is the main quest in Rise of the Ronin, in which your character must once again face the Blade Twin. In our guide, we described a duel from one of the rooms of the Omi inn, taking place in the Kyoto region during act 3.
We described the previous confrontation with the Twin in the Kyoto region on a separate guide page - Blade Twin in Kyoto (act 2). That fight ended the second chapter of the campaign.
Another encounter with Blade Twin in Kyoto in act 3
- Later in act 3 taking place in the Kyoto region, you have to complete The Omi Inn Incident main mission - this quest is about finding Ryoma.
- You need to pass through the inn occupied by enemy forces and on your way you will encounter mini-bosses such as Toshimichi Okubo and Aritomo Yamagata. Ultimately, you need to get to the upper floor of the inn. The picture shows a banner where you can replenish supplies and save the game. There is a door in the area - after opening it, you will find a seriously injured Ryoma and the Blade Twin will appear.
How to defeat the Blade Twin in the inn?
- Just like in the fight from act 2, Blade Twin can electrify their weapon meaning it can deal electrical damage that may keep damaging you for a period of time.
- Also remember that Blade Twin can parry your attacks. When you notice that the boss is about to parry you, stop attacking so you won't become an easy target after exhausting all of your ki. Wait for the Blade Twin to attack you to either parry or dodge it.
- Despite the limited space in the inn, the Blade Twin can perform a jump and then use an aerial attack. Parrying it requires a lightning-fast reaction and as a result, dodging it will be much safer.
- Blade Twin can use red attacks like a charge - the picture shows the Twin preparing for this attack.
- In case of a successful charge, the boss can toss you into the air and then slam hard into the ground. The boss can also perform this attack from a greater distance, which will give you more time to parry or dodge.
- Blade Twin can occasionally use ranged attacks. Among them are both regular attacks and a red attack with a larger projectile (example in the picture). Avoiding or parrying, especially the latter ones, is important.
- You won't defeat the Blade Twin this time, too. You will have one more battle with this boss in the future.
