On this page of the Dying Light 2 trophy guide, you can find a description of Who Wants To Be A... achievement. We explain the requirements of the trophy and what playstyle to choose in order to collect the required 1 million in Old World Money.
Basic information
While playing Dying Light 2 on normal rules you shouldn't have any problems with cash, but this is because what you need can be found as loot, or bought at a bargain from traders. However, one of the trophies involves collecting 1 million in in-game currency, which is very time-consuming and problematic. You have to be ready that amassing such an amount may take a lot of time and force you to constantly scrape money by saving and selling all that is not glued to the floor to traders.
Saving and accumulating money
Here are general tips for this trophy:
- Collect as much loot as possible and use your sense of survival to avoid missing anything. Don't be picky, pick up all you can, even if the given item isn't needed.
- Search Abandoned Shops and Dark Alleys . These are nighttime locations where you can find unique loot. It is a good idea to wait until the later part of the campaign with exploring these locations, so you reach a certain high experience level, allowing you to loot more expensive and higher-ranked items.
- Sell all unnecessary items at traders . The only category of loot without further use are the so-called Valuables, but you should sell other items also - unused clothing, and weapons.
- Avoid buying stuff from traders and craftmasters . Throughout the whole game, there is only a handful of items that should be definitely bought from a trader - one of them is a high-quality bow. In the case of Craftmasters, limit yourself to a few basic blueprints that really make the game easier. Also, don't buy consumables - you can do without, and you'll find some of them with other loot too.
- Remember locations with valuable loot , e.g. crystals or military first aid kits. You can come back to such places many times (eg. after using fast travel or bed) and the loot stored in them should be replenished in the meantime.
- Look for safes and ATMs . These are the main types of interactive objects that allow you to find currency. You won't get much of it, but ATMs are a common sight in the in-game world. There is also a chance of finding money when searching corpses.
