Last update: 03 February 2022
This page of the Dying Light guide has information on the available difficulty levels and the main differences between them. In addition, we have also discussed which difficulty to chose for the first playthrough, and provided information on whether you can change the difficulty level without restarting the campaign.
Choosing a difficulty level
Dying Light 2 offers 3 difficulty levels:
- Easy - Easier fights with opponents who deal less damage and are easier to kill. In addition, the main character can find more loot and supplies.
- Normal - This is the optimal choice for completing the game for the first time. Opponents offer a medium level of challenge and get stronger as the campaign progresses. Supplies and loot are found in moderate amounts, although obtaining some rare ingredients may require a more careful exploration.
- High - This level is quite challenging and has been prepared for people who are quite familiar with the first part of Dying Light. The enemies you encounter are dangerous from the very beginning of the game and are better at fighting, while valuable rare loot is much more difficult to find. This forces you to search carefully or save your supplies.
Changing the difficulty level
You can change the difficulty level - if the game turns out to be too easy or difficult for you, you do not have to start the entire campaign from scratch. Pause the game, go to the options and select the Game tab. The difficulty setting should be the first item on your list.
