Dying Light 2: Dialogues bug Dying Light 2 Guide, Walkthrough
This Dying Light 2 guide page describes bug with the skipping lines of the dialogues and displaying subtitles during conversations.
Last update: 03 February 2022
This page of the Dying Light 2 guide focuses on the bug with dialogs - some spoken lines or subtitles may get skipped. You will learn what to do to not miss anything from any conversation.
Note - This bug may not appear in your game. Some bugs and glitches are game-specific and platform-specific. In addition, many bugs should be fixed with the next patches, released after the launch of Dying Light 2.
Bug description
Unfortunately, the described problem is very troublesome, because it may prevent you from understanding everything from the dialogs. The bug can appear in two ways:
- The game skips spoken dialog lines.
- Scrolls the subtitles very fast, making them impossible to read.
Unfortunately, there is no effective method of preventing this error. The bug can appear in random conversations and moments of the game. However, its probability increases in locations with a large number of NPCs.
Solution
- Make sure you have the latest version of the game installed to reduce the risk of this bug.
- If you run into this bug, consider pausing and exiting the game. After restarting it, try the same conversation again - there is a chance that it will work right this time. Unfortunately, this method creates a risk that you may lose your recent progress and, after restarting the game, you will resume it, e.g. from an earlier checkpoint or from the beginning of a given mission.
- Sleeping can also fix this bug. However, this method won't let you listen to the bugged conversation again.
