You can find the complete walkthrough of the Water Tower main quest in our guide. The following description refers only to the important choice.
- Important choice during the Water Tower quest - Jack and Joe
- Option 1 - Defeat Jack and Joe
- Option 2 - Negotiate
Important choice during the Water Tower quest - Jack and Joe
The first of the two important choices during the Water Tower quest triggers when you climb it, after disarming the explosives. You'll encounter Jack and Joe and will have to decide what to do about them.
This important choice affects the further course of the Water Tower quest:
Option 1 - Defeat Jack and Joe
To select variant 1, you have to choose:
- The left dialogue option (Combat)
- The right dialogue option (the picture above)
It triggers a fight against Jack and Joe.
It is not very difficult to deal with the bosses, but you should know about a few things:
- Jack uses a slashing weapon and relies more on strong attacks - use dodge instead of blocking/parrying his attacks.
- You can use Air Kicks to bounce off the first stunned boss and kick the second.
- Try to focus your attention on one of the bosses at a time to make it easier for you to control the fight.
- If possible, use a weapon that deals area-of-effect damage, such as setting enemies on fire or poisoning them. The other boss can still take damage even if you are currently attacking his partner.
Option 2 - Negotiate
If you decide to negotiate, you'll find out that Jack and Joe want to escape the city and take refuge in the nearest settlement. You'll have to make another important choice:
- I will help you: if you agree to help them, they will leave without a fight and will wait in secret for further instructions;
- I won't help you: you'll have to fight two opponents at the same time to prevent the explosion.
