Last update: 25 January 2022
This page of the Dying Light 2 guide is dedicated to the topic of regenerating stamina. We will show you how to replenish the stamina bar, and explore the ways of increasing the stamina bar either temporarily or permanently.
Replenishing stamina
As a reminder, stamina is spent by attacking and actions that require physical effort (e.g. climbing, parkour actions). Once a portion of stamina is spent, a blue stamina bar will appear on the screen, showing your current stamina level. You should avoid running out of stamina at all costs, as it will make the hero unable to e.g. perform another strike or grab the next ledge.
Stamina will slowly regenerate back to full, but only when you stop performing actions and wait idly for a few seconds.
- If you're running low on stamina during combat, consider jumping away from the opponent or hiding behind cover. This short moment away from opponents will allow your stamina to regenerate.
- While parkouring, you need to divide your climb into shorter sequences. During longer climbs, look for small ledges or even narrow beams where the hero can stop for a moment to renew his stamina.
Increasing stamina
You can increase your staminapermanently by using Inhibitors . As a reminder, every time you get 3 Inhibitors (you can find them in different locations in the game world, along with other loot), you can go to the Skills tab and decide to use them to increase your health or stamina permanently. Each new level means another several dozen stamina points.
There is also an option to increase stamina temporarily. This is made available thanks to Stamina Booster item. You can find them while exploring (unfortunately, they are very rare), or buy a blueprint of this item from one of the craftsmen. Further along in the game, you can upgrade your Blueprint to create more powerful boosters.
Stamina Boosters are especially useful in places where in order to reach the top (e.g. of a windmill or a tall building) you need to perform an extended climb and/or perform more jumps in a row. Consuming such an item will allow you to complete the climbing sequence without falling down, without having to search for the next inhibitors.
