On this page of the Dying Light 2 guide we showan easy way of farming infected trophies, to be used to upgrade blueprints of craftable items. The following method allows you to relatively easily obtain valuable trophies - uncommon, rare, or even unique.
Introduction
You can learn more about infected trophies on the Infected Trophies - what to do with them? page. This page contains only the farming method.
You need a large number of infected trophies to be able to upgrade your blueprints, as each upgrade costs a certain amount of trophies. The higher the level of the blueprint, the more rare trophies you need to spend.
Recommended location for farming - The Wharf
An ideal place to farm trophies is the port in The Wharf district - it is an area in the center of the city and you will get to this district after making enough progress in the main storyline.
In the port there is a Peacekeeper base - Floating Fortress . At the entrance to it, there is a large open space (shown in screenshot 2) The neighborhood of the gate is illuminated by UV lamps, but this time, approaching the light won't holster your weapons.
Here what is for you to do:
1) Wait for nightfall and deliberately start a chase by finding and letting yourself be noticed a Howler.
2) Retreat to the vicinity of the base entrance and start fighting with the running infected who will appear in this area. Use any weapon you see fit.
3) If you received some damage, or run out of stamina, take a few steps back to get into the range of the UV lamp . Its light will stop the monsters and will allow you to regain full strength without any problems. You can also use, for example, a bow to dispose of the enemies from a distance as these infected are only equipped with melee attacks.
Farm the trophies as long as you see fit. Staying in the UV light for a longer time will end the pursuit and the monsters will retreat. Once you are in the clear, you can search the bodies of defeated infected. This way you can find large amounts of Uncommon, Rare or even Unique trophies (the type of trophy dropped is randomly selected).
