Last update: 20 January 2022
This page of the Dying Light 2 guide has information on how much disk space the game needs. We have prepared different values for the PC version as well as the console versions.
Disk space - PC
The PC version requires about 60 GB of free disk space. We recommend installing the game on an SSD for better performance, although the game can also run on a traditional HDD.
Disk space - consoles
As for the console versions, there are significant differences, especially between PlayStation 5 and other platforms.
- The PS5 version uses the platform's unique compression system and can therefore take up the least disk space. The game should take 31-32 GB (depending on the region), which is the total value for the basic installation and the day 1 patch (it can be downloaded separately or immediately with the digital version of the game).
- The exception is the German release of Dying Light 2 for PS5, which should take about 25 GB. This is probably due to the lack of other language versions.
- The PS4 version requires about 60 GB of free space.
- The Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X versions require about 72 GB of free space.
