Last update: 19 January 2022
This page of the Dying Light 2 guide has information about health bars that appear above the enemies' heads. We explain whether is it possible to disable the health bars by changing the interface's settings to adjust the game to your preferences.
Where do health bars appear on the screen?
By default, health bars appear above the heads of all enemies you attack in the game - both infected and living people with hostile intentions.
The bars can be very useful - they inform you about the opponent's health level, thanks to which you can determine how effective your attacks will be and how long you have to keep attacking the opponent to kill him. The game also displays other helpful information - about the opponent's stamina bar and his rank (experience level). You may still want to turn off the bars for better immersion in the events presented on the screen.
Health bar settings in the game options
You can find the health bar settings in the main menu . You have to go to the HUD menu, and then to the RPG tab. You can turn on and off separately:
- Infected health bars
- Human health bars
In the same menu, there are other settings that allow you to turn off the Awakening Bars, the Immunity Timer, and the Stamina Bar. However, this is important information for keeping Aiden alive, and we recommend that you leave it turned on.
