This page of the Dying Light 2 guide is dedicated to infected trophies. We explain how to obtain trophies and how to use them later on.
Obtaining trophies from the infected
Infected trophies are a unique type of loot that you can get as you play through the game. You can find them by looting the corpses of the infected. The rarer the type of infected you defeat, the better trophy you can get (e.g. rare or unique).
The chance to obtain the trophy appears only when interacting with a corpse. It may also happen that after examining a body of an infected you will find nothing. To get better trophies, loot more dangerous types of monsters e.g. Goliaths or Howlers.
If you are looking for very valuable unique trophies, we recommend eliminating elite types of zombies, e.g. Goliaths or Volatile. You can encounter strong monsters in random places. However, you can increase your chances of encountering them by visiting military convoys and looking for the encounter icons - each elite type of monster has its own unique icon on the map (an example is shown in the picture).
The Farming infected trophies page has tips on how to get them in large quantities without many problems. We recommend following these tips if you have problems finding more trophies.
Consuming or selling trophies
The main purpose of the infested trophies is to use them to upgrade the crafting blueprints.
You have to visit any craftmaster and go to the upgrades tab. In the descriptions of the available upgrades, you can read what types of trophies are required and in what quantities - the higher the quality of the upgrade, the more rare or unique trophies you will need. We recommend that you first improve the blueprints of the most sought items , e.g. medkits or lockpicks. It is very likely that through upgrading you will quickly use up all your trophies, even if you collected them for some time. You have to choose the upgrades that will serve you best.
The obtained trophies can also theoretically be sold at merchants by selecting them from the second tab. However, this is not a good idea , as the merchants will offer very low rates, and obtaining additional trophies may take a lot of time (especially the higher-quality ones).
