This Dying Light 2 guide page explains if interactive vehicles are available in the game, as well as other ways to travel around the map.
Last update: 11 February 2022
On this page of the Dying Light 2 guide, you will find the answer to the question - can Aiden use vehicles during the campaign. In addition, we have listed alternative methods of traveling around the game world (including fast travel).
Vehicles in the game
There are tons of abandoned cars in the world of Dying Light 2. Unfortunately, these are just wrecks that cannot be used in any way. The game only allows you to search selected vehicles in order to obtain loot hidden e.g. in their trunks or special containers (ambulances, armored vehicles, etc.).
Dying Light 2 does not allow you to use any vehicles - you cannot use cars, boats, planes or any other means of transport.
Working vehicles appear in several places in the game, e.g. the van shown in the picture above. In these types of situations, you can only be a passenger of the vehicle. Driving is unavailable.
Alternative ways to travel around the game world
The lack of drivable vehicles doesn't mean that traveling in the game is tedious . You can use various alternative methods of moving around the game world:
- Thanks to fast travel, you can create a network of connections (metro stations, hideouts) and move quickly to other districts or to a completely different part of the city.
- The paraglider allows you to explore the world from air. As you play through the game, you upgrade it further (e.g. maximum flight length and speed) and glide between high points of the world map (e.g. the roofs of high-rise buildings).
- Parkour allows Aiden to travel efficiently through locations with a large number of obstacles and enemies. As you complete the game, you will unlock many parkour moves that further increase your mobility, and parkour-viable objects may appear in the city (e.g. catapulting platforms)
