Last update: 08 March 2022
On this page of the Dying Light 2 trophy guide, you will find descriptions of the achievements: Tanning Salon (involving using a UV flashlight to kill a Viral) and Slow Poke! (involving losing the chase after reaching the highest level 4). Both of these achievements can be earned by completing similar activities.
Introduction and preparations
Tanning Salon and Slow Poke! are two separate trophies that you can deal with separately. However, we recommend that you unlock these achievements in a single action - the UV flashlight required for the Tanning Salon trophy can help you survive the chase for the Slow Poke! trophy and be used to kill a zombie at the same time.
The UV Flashlight is a reward for completing the Welcome On Board main quest.
In addition to obtaining a UV flashlight, you should also upgrade it to make it stronger and gain new features. We have described this in more detail on the page Tools - how to upgrade?. As a reminder, you should visit a craft master and spend the accumulated Military Tech to upgrade the UV flashlight to the highest level 3.
The chase and using a UV flashlight - tactics of action
The general rules of the chase are described on a separate page, Chase - how to end? page in the FAQ section. Start at night and near any safe zone with UV lamps, to which you can easily retreat in case of complications.
You have to initiate a chase by being deliberately noticed by the Screamer. Then, climb into a roof to avoid an unnecessary fight with standard zombies.
Virals, very fast zombies, will gather from the area. Turn on and off the UV flashlight. At the highest level, it generates strong flashes of UV light They are able not only to stop enemies but also to weaken them effectively. Continue "attacking with flashes", and sooner or later, one of the Virals will die from the UV light, and you will get the Tanning Salon trophy.
You have to continue fighting because there is still the Slow Poke! to get. Watch out - at the third level of the chase, Volatile will join the Virals. You have to stop them with the flashlight's UV light. Allowing the Volatile to approach Aiden or jump towards him may result a quick death.
If enemy forces are overwhelming, consider retreating closer to a safe zone. However, do not stay within its range for too long because the chase may end prematurely.
After the chase reaches level 4/4, hide in the safe zone and wait for it to end - you will be rewarded with an achievement.
