Silk is a crafting material in Black Myth Wukong. It's used to create new outfits, which increase your defense, making many battles easier. It's also a relatively rare material which may prove problematic to find. On this page of the guide we've described where to find silk, which comes especially in handy in early stages of the game.
Ancient Guanyin Temple
In the game's first chapter you may find a secret area off the main path. This area is the Ancient Guanyin Temple, an alternate version of a different main location. To reach it, you must ring three bells scattered around the first chapter of the game, each of which is protected by a different boss. Said bosses are Guangzhi, Guangmou and the Whiteclad Noble. After ringing the third bell, you will be transported to the old temple where you will face Elder Jinchi.
As you are probably aware, each altar (checkpoint) features a store where you can make purchases. What the game doesn't tell you is that altars in secret areas feature unique items to sell. The altar found in the Ancient Guanyin Temple (and no other altars in Chapter 1) offers two pieces of silk for sale.
Completing Chapter 1
After completing the first chapter, that is, defeating its final boss, you'll automatically receive a few rewards. One of them is two more pieces of silk.
Enemies in Chapter 2
Starting from the second chapter of the game, silk ceases to be a rare material. It will now drop from certain defeated enemies and bosses. You can farm it by resting at the altars to bring slain enemies back to life.
