Black Myth: Wukong officially launched today, and players are rushing to experience it. Unfortunately, many are encountering frustrating issues like instant crashes and poor performance on PC. Despite the developers releasing a Benchmark Tool on Steam with a Compatibility Mode aimed at addressing these problems, some people are still facing challenges. Let's explore these issues in detail.

What is a Compatibility Mode in Black Myth Wukong

The latest update for the Black Myth: Wukong Benchmark Tool introduced a Compatibility Mode to address persistent crashing issues. While this new feature allows players to successfully run the software, it comes with a caveat: V-sync is enabled by default, potentially impacting frame rates, especially on less powerful systems. As noted in the patch notes, users may experience performance variations as a result.

Sadly, even launching the game in Compatibility Mode hasn't resolved issues for all players. To optimize performance and stability, those who can successfully launch the game should experiment with the graphics settings. Starting with the lowest settings can help identify and resolve crashes. Once the game runs smoothly, gradually increasing the graphics quality can enhance the visual experience without compromising stability.

FPS Drops, constant Stuttering, and Out of Memory errors are common complaints. For now, we can only hope for quick fixes from the developers.
