Some bosses in Black Myth Wukong, when defeated, leave behind a purple spirit on the battlefield. Unfortunately, early on in the game you will come across a case where you will not be able to interact with them and pick them up. So, how can you do it? Our guide will explain that.
Spirit of a boss - what is it?
During combat, equipped spirits allow you to temporarily transform into them to gain special abilities and immunity to damage. Each of them offers something different, ranging from the skill itself to passive buffs. This is an additional form of strengthening your build.
How to pick up a boss's spirit?
In the initial stage of the game, you will encounter a boss named Wandering Wight. A Spirit will fly out of him, but you will not be able to collect it. This is due to the fact that you have not learned a certain mechanic that will be unlocked only after meeting an NPC Wise Master, who has a large Gourd on his back.
It is located on the Snake Trail in the Bamboo Grove. From the chapel, go up the stairs. When you notice him, talk to him. After a short cutscene, you will receive the ability to absorb the spirits of bosses. In the case of old spirits, simply approach the shrine and use it to absorb the old spirits option. However, in the case of new spirits (e.g. Bau-Li-Gu-Lang), all you need to do is interact with it and pick it up.
