In March, Valve started beta tests for replacement of two features – Steam Family Sharing and Steam Family View. This function is called Steam Families. It works in a very simple way: users create their own family and invite up to 5 people. Everyone in this group have access to shareable games that one of the members bought.
So, if you are part of the family, you can play everything that is shown in your library (unless family members use all available licenses for that particular title). How to enable Steam Family?
- First, you should go to the Settings > Interface to activate Steam Families beta.
- Next, you can go to Settings > Family to manage your own family.
Steam Families feature works with Black Myth Wukong. If someone from your group bought the game, you can play this title without problems.
However, some players reported that title does not show in their libraries. In that case you must be patient and restart Steam a couple of times. If you have multiple copies of the same game, you can go to the game’s page in your library and change your preferred one. It will also refresh Steam.
