Hundred-Eye Daoist Master is one of the more difficult main bosses. Initially, two sisters that turn into spiders will help you. No wonder, as the fight is very demanding. The boss is a combination of a spider and a centipede, it can burrow into the ground, and its attacks are deadly. From our guide to Black Myth Wukong, you will learn how to defeat this opponent. We have described his attacks and tips on how to fight the boss. At the very end you will find a rewards list.

Hundred-Eye Daoist Master in a nutshell

  1. The first time you fight the Hundred-Eye Daoist Master, you will be accompanied by two sisters. They will transform into big spiders. Unfortunately, this is only a one-time thing. It means that if you die, they will no longer help you. Fortunately, the boss's health will be slightly reduced.
  2. The boss can burrow underground and then perform a barely visible and irritating grab that deals a lot of damage. As soon as you notice that he is not on the surface, focus on dodging.
  3. The fight is divided into two phases. In the second phase, the boss is much more durable. He will also move you to an arena with bright colors, which affects visibility.
  4. The boss can poison you. He has several attacks that inflict poison. It is worth stocking up on medications that reduce this status.
  5. Hundred-Eye Daoist Master is vulnerable to fire. A good idea will be to equip a transformation that lets you deal damage of this type.

Hundred-Eye Daoist Master's attacks

  1. Stomp- Hundred-Eye Daoist Master raises his front legs and then stomps on the ground. This attack has a short range, so just move away to avoid taking damage.
  2. Levitating sword - When you notice that the boss summons several talismans next to him and releases his sword, it means that his weapon will start attacking on its own at a considerable distance. Focus mainly on observing the sword and avoiding its attacks.
  3. Spitting venom - The boss will lower his head and start spitting venom over a small area. Receiving damage from this attack continuously fills the poison bar, so move away from the enemy as soon as possible.
  4. Shooting projectiles - The enemy will create more talismans around himself, which will then shoot projectiles at you. Prepare to make several dodges in a row to avoid this attack.
  1. Going underground and grab - An attack that is very difficult to avoid as the boss buries himself in the ground and stays there for a longer time. Watch the ground and look for the smoke that marks the place where the boss will be coming out of the ground. Pay attention to the vertical lightning. When it appears, dodge immediately, otherwise you will be caught.
  2. Electric combo attack - Hundred-Eye Daoist Master will perform a combination of sword swings and electricity-infused hands, ending with an electric bolt firing forward. Regardless of which direction he swings, you can dodge in the opposite direction to make his attack miss, and when he charges himself up with electricity, run towards him to attack.
  3. Series of attacks - second phase - After entering the second phase and releasing the power, the boss will always start with this attack. He starts with a quick slash and hits with his rear part of the body. He will then swing forward a few times and retreat, after which a cut-scene will start. Don't attack, focus on dodging backwards.
  4. Two-handed launching attack - second phase - The boss will use two hands to perform an attack that launches you down and then slams on the ground. When he makes a swing, he will create a small tornado, lifting your character and dealing damage. When you notice that the hand is going up, dodge to the side or to the back.
  1. Hitting the ground - second phase - Hundred-Eye Daoist Master will first strike the ground with the back of his body, and after a moment he will rise up along with a large portion of the ground. When the boss falls, earth fragments will also fall, causing damage. You can avoid this attack only by performing a dodge at the perfect moment or by turning your body into stone.
  2. Parrying and counter - Second phase - Sometimes the opponent can parry your attack. Once this happens, he will perform an attack that will be followed by a wave of fire. Perform a side dodge at the right moment.
  3. Disappearing and shooting projectiles - Second phase - When the boss disappears, after a while you will notice laser beams flying in your direction. This will happen several times. Remember to dodge this attack when the thinner laser disappears, as it itself does not cause damage, but only signals that a more powerful projectile is coming.

How to defeat Hundred-Eye Daoist Master?

At the very beginning of the fight, it is worth using the transformation that deals fire damage. The boss is vulnerable to this element in the first phase, and he doesn't use all of his attacks when the fight starts. Thanks to this, you will inflict a lot of damage to him.

One of his most dangerous attacks is diving into the ground and then performing a grab. Remember to dodge the moment you see the vertical lightning bolt, it's usually the third one. Once you've successfully dodged him, go on the offensive and lastly immobilize him.

It's worth keeping a close distance, because if you're too far away, the boss will use ranged attacks more often.

The second phase is more problematic. The boss is becoming much more resilient, and on top of that, elusive. You will rarely be able to attack him freely. The best moment is going on the offensive when he performs a ground-striking attack. Then he will be stunned for a moment.

When Hundred-Eye Daoist Master disappears, expect only one thing - multiple laser beams. Remember to dodge when the narrow laser beam disappears, otherwise you will get hit.

It's worth saving some mana for the second phase. Immobilizing spells and those turning you into stone are especially useful here, as some attacks are very difficult to avoid.
