Gold Armored Rhino is a very resilient enemy. However, he has one weakness that you can exploit to your advantage. If you want to find out which one it is, have a look at our Black Myth Wukong guide. Moreover, you will learn his actions and the best way to fight him, making the clash easier and more enjoyable.
Gold Armored Rhino in a nutshell
- Gold Armored Rhino has one weak point, namely its horn. If you hit him with a very strong attack, sacrificing e.g. 4 focus points, or using a spirit, such as the Wandering Wight, he will lose his electrical properties for some time and he will also be stunned.
- The horn will take a fair amount of damage if attacked, but you can perform only one attack at a time, as after the first one you'll bounce off the boss. Therefore, it is important to charge your focus by attacking the boss on his side or back.
- While the boss is charging, the immobilize spell will not work on him. Don't use it when he's rushing at you, because you will only lose mana and the spell will be useless.
Gold Armored Rhino's attacks
- Throwing stones - the boss can slowly walk towards you, then stick his horn into the ground and after a while dig up a few boulders. They will start flying at you - dodge to the side, aiming for the gap between the stones.
- Three-fold charge - the rhino will start rushing towards you. Each time he misses or hits you, it will do the same thing again, up to three times. Perform a side dodge at the right moment.
- Horn attack - the boss will swing his horn and after a short while he will attack. Perform a dodge in the opposite direction to his head movement.
- Hoof attack - if you find yourself behind the opponent's back, he will strike very quickly with his hind hooves. A dodge to the side should solve the problem.
- Body attack - the boss will raise his body and then quickly fall to the ground. Do not approach the boss and you will avoid the attack, as its range is very small.
- Summoning lightnings - after breaking the horn, the boss will need to recover. When this happens after a while, he will restore his horn and summon many lightnings, causing great damage. Move away from him as soon as you notice yellow lightning forming around him.
How to fight Gold Armored Rhino?
It is important to focus on the boss's horn. Quick attacks will only work if his horn disappears or if you focus on his sides or back. However, remember that it is best to attack with the level 4 focus, as this is when your chances of breaking the horn will be the greatest.
If you have a problem with charging a sufficiently powerful blow, then use immobilization, thanks to which the boss will stand still in one place for much longer.
The whole fight will basically just revolve around this. Remember not to attack the boss while he is charging. Also, do not use immobilizing spells as they will not work then.
