In chapter seven of Dragon Age Veilguard you will reach another location - Necropolis Halls. During the quest Where the Dead Must Go you will recruit another companion, the necromancer Emmrich, whom you will have to help reach the bell, avoid despair demons of and survive the Venatori attack.

How to get to the bell room?

Emmrich will join you immediately after the quest begins. Follow him and along the way you will encounter a despair demon. These enemies can pull you into their own personal dimension, forcing you to fight one-on-one. They attack with large, slow, blue energy orbs - you can destroy them with ranged attacks before they reach you.

After the fight, follow the professor. You will reach a room with a bell bound with chains. Your goal in this quest will be to release the bell. But first you must get rid of the horde of undead in this room. Enemies deal very little damage and have little health, but there are a lot of them - use area attacks. Emmrich will lead you to a closed door - you must go to the other side of the room, touch the wisp there and lead it to the device by the door.

How to find out what happened to the bell?

Go through the newly opened door and follow the linear corridor, fighting the undead along the way. You will reach a corridor full of sleeping despair demons. Go through it without touching the blue mist, and you will not wake up any enemies. You can get past them by going up the steps on the sides of the corridor.

Near the end of the corridor you'll come across a door that requires three wisps to open. Wait for Emmrich to summon them and lead the them to the door. You will find the wisps at the end of the corridor, as well as near the beginning of the corridor, on the stairs on both sides. Be careful not to touch the fog along the way.

In the next room you will face several mages. Two of them are standing on the bridge - you can jump across the platforms, avoiding the water and fog to reach the other side, from where you can go to the bridge.

Outside the building, go up the slope across rocks and wooden walkways until you reach a large room with a corpse lying on a pedestal. You need to light the fires in the corners of the room (interaction button) so that Emmrich can talk to the corpse and discover the presence of Venatori. Take the wisp and lead it to the door.

How to break chains?

On the other side of the door you will encounter Venatori cultists. Fight them to the very end of the path, where you will encounter a slave in a small tent. Talk to him and wait for Emmrich to open the door next to the slave, then proceed further.

You will reach the balcony of the bell room, where there are four crystals binding the bell. Destroy them with ranged attacks - the Venatori will appear when you get close to them. These crystals heal nearby enemies, so it is better to destroy them before the fight. After destroying the fourth crystal, jump off the balcony and talk to Emmrich.

How to survive the battle in the bell room?

You must survive three minutes until the bell drives away all the demons. You will be attacked by waves of enemies. Be on the move at all times. A mist will begin to appear in the room, summoning despair demons - stay away from it.

After some time, a large fire demon will join the enemies. Watch out for his fiery explosions and surprisingly fast melee attacks. At the end of the three minutes you will fight another despair demon - try to survive. After three minutes, all enemies will automatically die. Collect the loot from the room and talk to Emmrich to complete the quest.
