In Entropy's Grasp is a main quest in Dragon Age Veilguard, which makes up most of chapter 2. It takes place in elven ruins in Arlathan Forest. On this guide page we describe how to help the Veil Jumpers, find Bellara and get through the elven ruins.

How to find Bellara?

As soon as you pass through the eluvian into Arlathan Forest you will encounter the Veil Jumpers. After a quick conversation, you will learn your next objective - you must find Bellara, one of their members. The companion with whom you went to knock down the statue in The End of the Beginning - Neve or Harding - will temporarily leave the party here. They will return to you soon, at the beginning of chapter three.

As it turns out, Bellara is very close. At the end of the nearby path you will encounter an axe-wielding machine that you must defeat. Not all axe attacks can be parried, so be prepared to dodge. After the fight, Bellara will join your party. Your next objective is to get to the nearby temple and disable the artifact there.

How to get through the temple?

Head towards the nearby bridge and take the path next to it leading up the hill. There are enemies on the bridge - get rid of them and familiarize yourself with Bellara's skills. Enter the building near the bridge.

How to use power crystals?

On the other side of the building you will encounter the first power crystals. Pick it up from the cliff edge and insert it into the power socket under the stone arch to create a bridge.

Just past the bridge you will encounter another device resembling rings rotating next to the planet. Using the skills menu, tell Bellara to turn them off. This will summon many enemies, but once you defeat them the path further will be unlocked.

At the end of the path, in the next room, you will find two power sockets. Remove the crystal from the first socket and insert it into the second to proceed. Along the way, you will face two machines and also encounter Darkspawn for the first time - they are very fast, but not very durable.

Disable the next device and deal with the enemies. Eventually, you'll come across a ballista - use it to destroy the wall in front of you, then shoot at the enemies. Ballista bolts explode upon impact, so aim for groups whenever you can.

At the abandoned camp, have Bellara disable another device and then get rid of the enemies. The next path will lead you to your first elite enemy - they function just like regular enemies, but have a specific bonus, such as increased damage. Eliminate the elite machine.

The door leading further is closed with two power sockets. You need two crystals. Take the crystal from one of the devices and insert it into the socket opposite, by the smaller door. Go through it, climb up the path to the plague-infested ballista - destroy the plague bubble and use the device to destroy the smooth wall opposite. Go through the demolished wall where you will find the second crystal. Take both crystals and power the door leading further.

How to defeat the ogre?

In the next room you will reach the mission objective - the artifact you are looking for. Before you can take it, however, you will have to fight an ogre. The boss is here to test whether you have learned the difference between normal and unblockable attacks. The boss only attacks with melee. Horizontal club swings can be parried, while vertical ones must be dodged. Also, be careful when standing far away, as the boss can jump towards you, which is indicated by a red circle on the ground.

After the fight, collect the treasures found in the arena and talk to Bellara to complete the quest.
