The new installment of Dragon Age franchise is here. The Veilguard is a solid game, however not without flaws. Read our review to learn more about it. It seems that to the list of faults, we can add some technical issues. While the first players download and play DAV, there is a larger and larger group of people who have problems with launching it. It seems that for some, this production is crashing just after the launch or even not working at all. There is something which you can try.

How to Fix Dragon Age Veilguard Not Working

The launch of Dragon Age The Veilguard can be quite harsh. Especially because of compiling shaders at the beginning. It seems that for a few players something went wrong, and they can’t launch the game properly. To make sure that DAV properly, remember about updating drivers. Moreover, be patient, as the game can take awhile to boot. If you manage to enter it and it is crashing, there is a way to fix it.

Some of the players on Steam had problems with the game not working. One of them managed to find a solution. And it is quite simple:

  1. Go to the directory of the game (right-click Veilguard in the Library and pick manage and browse local files).
  2. There is a folder called Shader Cache. The player managed to fix the game by deleting its content.

It seems that this method works, as more players report that it helped them. Of course, as always, we encourage you to make a copy of the folder before tempering. Better be safe than sorry.

Once you manage to enter the game, you should check out our Dragon Age Veilguard guide. We have maps, walkthroughs, FAQs. All you need to know about the game.
