Phasmophobia was finally released on consoles. So, you can hunt ghosts and complete Blood Moon event on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 or PSVR2. But can you play with friends from other platforms? Thanks to our guide, you will learn more about crossplay.

Crossplay in Phasmophobia Explained

Phasmophobia supports crossplay. To be honest, this feature was revealed long ago. If you've been following the game's development, you may remember that it was supposed to be released on consoles in August 2023. The horror even appeared on Xbox Games Showcase Extended in June 2023. In the trailer presented there, you can see information about cross platform.

Unfortunately, the console port was delayed by more than a year, so plans could theoretically change. However, this was not the case here. Crossplay is available for everyone. If you play on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 or PSVR2, you will be able to team up with friends from other platforms. However, you must remember to turn on this functionality in the options.

You must also keep in mind that this feature doesn’t work properly, and you may experience some bugs. For example, some players report audio issues on official Phasmophobia Discord server – they can’t hear their friends in crossplay sessions.

Cross Progression in Phasmophobia Explained

While Phasmophobia was released on multiple platforms, yet another question arises – does it offer cross progression? No, the game doesn’t support this feature. So, if you change platforms, you have to start all over again.
