Dragon Age is one of the most beloved series of RPGs. It is also a strange one, as each installment is a lot different to the previous one. It is difficult to compare DA2 with Origins. Nevertheless, the world and stories are something which attracts gamers each time. Some of the players would like to share their experience with others. So, will The Veilguard have coop? It should, especially, taking into consideration, that Inquisition had multiplayer mode, right? We have a bad news for you.

Coop and Multiplayer in Dragon Age Veilguard

Baldur’s Gate 3 has shown us all that it is possible to prepare an RPG with rich storyline and interesting characters, and at the same time offer coop experience. However, we should remember that it is not an easy feat. It seems that Dragon Age Veilguard developers had different priorities. Don’t expect multiplayer or coop from this title.

Let’s remember that the game was supposed to be live-service with multiplayer component as an important part of it. However, Anthem’s failure and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order’s success were major factors, which convinced everyone that it is not the right way. While, luckily, developers did not have a lot of additional work, the switch in mindset had to be quite major.

Taking the above into consideration, we can’t blame Veilguard creators that they focused on solo gameplay and decided to go back to its single-player roots. If the lack of multiplayer did not scare you off, read our guide. It has maps and many useful tips.
