Dragon Age is here. The Veilguard is a solid game, however, not ideal. Read our review to learn more. You will not be surprised, when I tell you that in this title, we create our own characters. Many players would like to know how much we are free to do so. More precisely, can we be evil? Let’s talk about that.

Can You Be Evil in Dragon Age Veilguard?

Players are mostly good people and prefer to pick heartwarming options not to upset companions (I know, I am). However, sometimes, we want something evil. Darkness can be compelling. Blood magic was created for a reason, am I right?

Not to spoil too much, there are some decisions in the game, which have consequences, sometimes grave and deadly. However, you can’t be simply evil (at least not in my opinion). You play as a character who battles dangerous opponents, gods. Some choices might be difficult, for some maybe brutal, but you can always tell yourself that it is necessary to win at the end. There will be some casualties, but it is war, you have to choose.

Don’t expect that you will be a bad person or unkind to your companions, though. Well, you can answer inappropriately to a given situation (be playful in a serious discussion, for example), but it is far from being straight up evil, isn’t it?

So, if you want to be really a bad character, you should probably play Dark Urge in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you want to learn more about the game, you should read our Dragon Age Veilguard guide. We have maps, walkthroughs, FAQs, all you need in the world of DAV.
