On Blighted Wings is a main quest in Dragon Age Veilguard that concludes chapter 6. It starts immediately after completing A Warden's Best Friend quest. You will have to make a choice - help Minrathous or Treviso. On this page of the guide we have described how to drive away the dragon attacking the selected city.
How to get to the dragon?
The quest begins with a choice - you can go to help Minrathous or Treviso. We have described the choice on a separate page of the guide - for the purposes of the walkthrough, however, know that the structure of the quest is identical regardless of your choice.
Once you make your choice, you will be immediately transported to that city. You need to run along a short, linear path to regroup with one of your companions - Lucanis in Treviso or Neve in Minrathous. Along the way, you will have one minor skirmish with the Antaam or the Venatori. Be more careful than usual, as you only have one companion here.
At the end of the path you will regroup with your second companion. Just a few steps away there is a large arena where you will fight the dragon.
How to chase away a dragon?
You will fight a fire dragon (in Minrathous) or an ice dragon (in Treviso). However, the only difference is the enemy's element. Most of the dragon's attacks cannot be parried, so focus on dodging. The beast attacks mainly with its head at close range and charges at longer range.
When the dragon flies into the air, prepare for a huge area attack - run away from it to get outside the red circle on the ground. If the enemy moves too far away from you, it may spit a fire or ice projectile - you can parry and deflect it.
If the boss stands still and starts inhaling, it means that it will soon start breathing fire or cold. Get to its side as quickly as possible - the attack is long, but the beast can only breathe straight ahead. You will be safe by standing next to it and you will be able to attack the boss freely.
Once you reduce the dragon's health to approximately 15%, the beast will flee. This will complete the quest - you have saved one city, but the other has suffered serious damage.
