Some bosses you encounter in Dragon Age Veilguard may be marked with a special color or a skull symbol next to their health bar. On this page, we explain the meaning of these indicators and why it is worth paying attention to them.
Colors and skull next to enemy name
Most of the bosses and "big" enemies in Dragon Age Veilguard has a level - just like your character. It is symbolized by the number on the left side of the health bar. If the difference between your protagonist and the opponent is small, the boss's level will be written in white.
When you encounter an enemy who is several levels higher in experience than you (around 4/5), their level indicator will be marked in yellow. This is a clear signal to the player to be careful and, in case of problems, to abandon the fight.
Enemies that have a significantly higher level than the player(difference of about 10 levels) will be additionally marked with a red skull symbol. Such bosses will pose a mortal threat to the hero and their team. In such situations, we recommend that you give up the fight and return to it later in the game.
