On this page of the guide to Dragon Age: The Veilguard you will find a map of Crossroads - a unique location from the world of Fade. We inform about the subsequent visits to Crossroads, as well as unlocking and using Spirit Docks and Eluvian Gates. The map has markers showing Timelost Hoards, Fen'Harel Altars, Evanuris Altars, Main Quests, Side Quests, Mementos, Notes, Codex, Boss Encounters, Beacons, Wolf Statuettes, Revenants, Thrice-Sealed Gate, Points of Interest, locked passages or Chests. This knowledge will help you to thoroughly explore Crossroads and achieve 100 percent map completion status.

On separate pages of the guide you will find interactive maps to the other main locations:

  1. Lighthouse;
  2. Arlathan Forest;
  3. Treviso;
  4. Dock Town;
  5. Hossberg Wetlands;
  6. Necropolis Halls;
  7. Rivain Coast.

First and subsequent visits to Crossroads

Crossroads is a unique map of the Fade. You'll first get there during the Into the Crossroads main quest, which you'll begin in the Lighthouse. You can return to Crossroads multiple times later in the campaign - you can select this place from the world map.

The main use of Crossroads is to unlock travel to other maps - as you advance in the main storyline you will gain access to new places.

100% map completion

To obtain 100% Crossroads completion status you must find:

  1. 10 Chests;
  2. 6 Timelost Hoards;
  3. 4 Evanuris Altars;
  4. 5 Fen'Harel Altars.

You can check your progress on the map screen - it appears in the upper left corner. You can't get everywhere right away. Some Spirit Docks and Fade fragments will become available once you advance in the main story or unlock a specific optional quest.

Eluvian Gates

There are a large number of Eluvian Gates in the Crossroads area - gates used to transport to other places in the game world.

Some Eluvian Gates are initially inactive. They will only become available once you unlock specific main or side quests. During your first visit, only the gates leading to Treviso and Dock Town will be accessible.

Spirit Docks & Beacons

The Crossroads map is divided into several isolated areas. To get to a new location you need to use a boat, which you can board at Spirit Docks. You will then travel to a new location on the map.

Beacons - fast travel points - are also used to move between different parts of Crossroads. You must manually activate each Beacon by approaching it.

Main & Side Quests

Crossroads is visited several times during the main story quests and your goal will then be to reach the Eluvian Gate that will take you to a new land.

Additionally, some side quests and companion quests may be tied to Crossroads. These quests take place on the Crossroads map. Some side quests can also help you unlock new locations.

Blocked passages and shortcuts

Many areas in Crossroads are initially impossible to access. Markers and descriptions on our interactive map will tell you, for example, how to find a roundabout route or how to obtain a required key. You will also learn about unlocking shortcuts - they can make it easier for you to visit Crossroads again.

Chests & Timelost Hoards

While exploring Crossroads, you may come across smaller and larger loot chests containing items such as weapons, armor, equipment, gold, materials, and valuable items. There are also unique Timelost Hoards containers to discover - they have unique equipment and other valuable items.

Evanuris Altars & Fen'Harel Altars

These are secret altars that have various environmental puzzles associated with them.

Every completed Fen'Harel Altar is a free skill point, and by completing an Evanuris Altar puzzle you can permanently extend your main character's health bar.

Mementos

This is a more important type of secret marked on our interactive map. Every collected Memento grants Caretaker Power points - these are used to unlock upgrades for the Caretaker's Workshop in the Lighthouse.

Codex Entries & Notes

There are smaller secrets hidden throughout various parts of Crossroads. Codex Entries allow you to learn more about Crossroads and Fade, and they also reward you with XP. Thanks to the Notes you can learn various information.

Bosses and Revenants

Crossroads, unlike Lighthouse, is not a safe location - you can encounter large bosses and mini-bosses. Markers on our map warn you about their locations and the quests they are a part of. This will allow you to prepare for the confrontation with these elite monsters.

Revenants are unique bosses in the Crossroads. Defeating them will allow you to unlock the Thrice-Sealed Gate on the Beacon Island.

Wolf Statuettes

Finding Wolf Statuettes is tied to the quest about Solas's memories. You always get a statuette as a reward for doing a given memory.

Bring Wolf Statuettes back to the Lighthouse and place them on special pedestals. This will allow you to discover murals related to Solas.

Points of Interest & Statues

Our interactive map shows important locations and objects that do not have unique markers in the game world. These can be various mechanisms, e.g. subsequent statues to rotate that can unlock new passages.
