Are there any important choices in the game?

The most important decision in Elex 2 is the faction you choose. This decision cannot be undone and it has a significant impact on the rest of the game. First of all, each faction has a separate storyline - after joining the Berserkers, you won't get to complete the Alb or Morkon quests. The choice of faction also affects the available skills and equipment. Joining a given group unlocks unique perks and faction weapons.

Additionally, the faction you select will also participate in the game's main storyline, but this only affects the dialogues and the story summary. You will make important choices while completing the faction's missions. In each faction's quest line, there is a story thread in which you will have to choose a side.

In many conversations, you choose the nature of Jax's response (specifically, whether he is more or less friendly towards a given character), but this usually only affects the level of Destruction. You won't see the significance of the Destruction level immediately, but in the long run, it can affect your relationships with your companions.

In some quests, you will also be able to spare or kill a given person or choose a side during a conflict. Sometimes this changes the course of the mission, but these aren't big differences and, in most cases, the choice only affects the aforementioned level of Destruction.
