This page of the guide to Elex 2 explains how to get better weapons and armor. When you have stronger weapons, you can fight more demanding enemies, and thus make progress in the storyline. On this page you will learn how to get the best armor or how to use crafting to get better weapons.
Travelling merchants
The Traveling Merchants are a great weapon source at the beginning of the game, especially before joining a faction. As the name suggests, these traders move around the world, but you will often meet them near the main cities - the Castle, Grotto, Crater or Fort.
You can also follow the Travelling Merchants you've met on the map - this way, you can easily locate them. They offer first and foremost quite strong weapons that will be effective even later in the game. Additionally, they often have armor that works well before joining a faction.

Crafting
A good way to get a better weapon in Elex 2 is through crafting. You can convert three damaged weapons into one repaired weapon. The stats of such weapons will be significantly improved, but even more importantly, the attribute requirements will remain at the same level. You can upgrade your long-range weapons at the Ranged Weapons Workbench, and melee weapons at the Blacksmith. You can find both objects in the Bastion.

Joining a faction - getting the best armor
Getting a good weapon without joining a faction is feasible, but you will get the best armor only after joining one of the factions.
