Last update: 17 February 2022
The difficulty level in Elex 2 can be quite challenging to tackle, especially for beginners. Fortunately, the developers gave us some options to adjust the complexity of the game. On this page of the game guide, you will learn about all the difficulty levels and ways you can make the game easier or harder.
You will find all these options in the settings, more specifically in the Gameplay tab.
Difficulty levels
The main setting that affects the gameplay is the difficulty level. The developers included 5 different options: Story, Easy, Normal, Hard and Ultra. Of course, the higher the difficulty level, the more challenging the opponents are. The difficulty level affects both their amount of health and how much damage they deal. The game's complexity level can be compared to the first Elex game, but this time players have access to Story mode, where you can enjoy the story and the world without paying much attention to fighting enemies.
Other options
The gameplay is affected not only by the aforementioned difficulty levels, but also by additional options. You can customize the Aim Assist, which (to a greater or lesser extent) automatically targets enemies during ranged combat. You can also adjust the markers displayed on the map and strong opponent indicators (which suggest they are most likely impossible to defeat at your character's current level). The gameplay can also be made more difficult by turning off the minimap.
