Last update: 21 March 2022
On this page of the guide to Elex 2 you'll find information about Fox, one of the available companions. You'll learn where to find the berserker, how to recruit Fox, what kind of attacks he can use and how to improve or worsen your relationship with him.
Fox - companion location and recruitment
Fox is a Berserker warrior but after getting to know him better you'll learn he has no straight-forward affiliations and many enemies. You can first meet Fox in the area pictured above - west of the Fort (the Berserkers' headquarters).
After reaching the marked location you'll see a cutscene of Fox hunting.
After your initial conversation you can tell him you could use an ally like him. This will cause you to go on a patrol with Fox.
Before meeting with him we recommend developing Jax a bit and recruiting another companion first. You'll encounter many powerful monsters during the patrol and many of them are mandatory fights with no way of escaping them. They can be incredibly difficult to beat if you're still weak. You should also save the game before approaching this area.
Fox will stop after completing the first part of the patrol, which is a good idea to postpone the rest for later - Fox will wait for you to return.
During the second part of the patrol you'll encounter raptors and other enemies. At the very end Jax will invite Fox to the Bastion. Wait for him to get there (he doesn't use teleporters). Once he does, find him in the Bastion. You can learn about his Albs problem and invite him to your party. From now on Fox can accompany you.
Fighting alongside Fox
Fox is a warrior but is prepared for various situations - he can fight in melee and uses a bow during ranged combat.
Building a relationship with Fox
- You must know that good deeds (those reducing your Destruction level) improve your relationship with Fox. Bad deeds worsen it.
- Fox likes decisions in favor of the Berserkers and the Clerics. He dislikes helping the Outlaws, Morkons and Albs.
- When it comes to minor decisions he's appreciative of courage and jokes while disliking greed and stupidity.
