This page of the Elex 2 guide contains a walkthrough of an extensive main quest called Damage Reduction. You will receive it in the second chapter after completing the Without Mercy quest. The mission requires you to complete 7 other tasks:
- Machines Run Amok,
- System Error,
- Danger to the 6th Power,
- Symbol of the Old World,
- Knowledge is Power,
- Companions for the 6th Power.
- It's a Matter of Interpretation.
You will have to fight the Skyanids and rebellious robots of the Clerics. You'll also need to stop the Morkons from making a hasty decision, and you'll also gain some new companions. A detailed walkthrough of each quest can be found on separate pages of the guide. Completing all of the missions mentioned will let you proceed to Elex 2's third chapter.

Machines Run Amok
In the Machines Run Amok quest, which you receive after talking to Adam in the Bastion, your target is rebellious robots stationed near the Castle - the Clerics' headquarters. It is worth taking a companion with you, because there are a total of 12 robots to defeat. Eliminate the enemies to complete the quest automatically and start System Error.
System Error
The next step is to talk to the CRONY U4 drone - if you are not traveling with it, you will find it in the Bastion. Go with the drone to the Castle, specifically to Caalan's altar.
Danger to the 6th Power
While in the Bastion, you can trigger the Danger to the 6th Power quest. Your headquarters will be attacked by a dozen or so strong opponents. However, all characters in the Bastion will take part in the fight, so you should have no problems defeating the enemies. If the quest doesn't start automatically, talk to Thialg.
Symbol of the Old World
The goal of the Symbol of the Old World quest is to defeat a group of Agitators and Curators in the vicinity of the Grotto. Take a companion with you and as many potions or grenades as possible, because enemies can be problematic.
Knowledge is Power
In the Knowledge is Power quest, your goal is to obtain Cluster of Skyanid Cells, lead Adam to the research site and find Dex.
Companions for the 6th Power
After completing the aforementioned missions, Thialg will give you the Companions for the 6th Power quest. You need to add the following characters to the party: Bully, Nasty, Fox, Falk and Nyra.
It's a Matter of Interpretation
You will receive the last task from Thialg after completing the Companions for the 6th Power quest. In It's a Matter of Interpretation quest, you must stop the Morkons from attacking the Fort. If you have previously joined the Morkon faction, the conflict can be resolved through dialogue. Otherwise, you will have to defeat 17 Morkons.
After completing all of the above quests, return to Victor in the Grotto to complete the Damage Reduction quest. It also starts the third chapter of Elex 2.
