Which faction is the best?
Determining the best faction in Elex 2 is actually impossible. All factions differ a lot from one another. This doesn't refer just to the storyline aspects, or the faction members' approach to the world and the impending threat, but most of all to skills and related gameplay elements.
If you're not concerned about immersion, choose a faction based on your play style. As a Berserker, you will gain access to magic - fireballs and fire rains. Morkons intentionally lower their health to obtain various bonuses - more health points, increased damage or faster running. Albs, on the other hand, use Elex for ice spells and can source Elex from defeated enemies.
Outlaws and Clerics play a less important role in Elex 2 than the other factions described above. You can join Outlaws only after initially joining Berserkers or Morkons - this way, you will gain access to skills that increase the effectiveness of Chems, i.e. items that provide temporary bonuses. The path to the Clerics opens after you join the Albs - the skills of the Clerics increase your resistance to damage and allow you to temporarily become immortal after receiving the final blow. Joining Outlaws and Clerics is not obligatory - you can advance in the ranks of the main faction as well.
Do I have to join a faction?
Joining a faction in Elex 2 is not mandatory. During the main storyline, you will often be prompted to take a side, but you don't have to. Remember, however, that joining a faction gives you access to the best weapons available in the game.
Remember that choosing the faction is irreversible. Once you decide to join, you cannot leave the faction.
How to join a faction?
There is only one way to join a faction in Elex 2 - you have to complete certain quests. Of course, you will complete different missions to join the Berserkers, and different missions to join the Albs. The description of joining each faction can be found below. You can still complete missions to join different factions and then simply not join them - this will give you additional experience points.
How to join the Berserkers?
You can join the Berserkers in Elex 2 during The Berserker's Trust quest - the full walkthrough can be found on a separate page of the guide. It is an extensive mission, in which your goal is to gain the trust of the most important people of the faction - Thorhilda, Tilas, Scrappy, Fenris and Wulf. The mission starts in the Fort, which is its main location.
How to join the Morkons?
If you want to join the Morkons, you need to complete the Morkon Values quest that you receive after entering the Grotto and talking to Dimitri. Within this mission, you will complete the Zarina's Judgment and Tengis' Judgment quests. A detailed walkthrough of these quests can be found on separate pages of our guide to Elex 2.
How to join the Albs?

Escort Skibor to the Depot and Tracking with the Albs quests are related to it. Check out the full description of these quests in our guide for more information.
How to join the Outlaws?
To join the Outlaws, you must first join the Morkons or Berserkers. As you complete the faction quests, you will face a choice. The Berserkers will offer you cooperation with the Claws, while the Morkons will ask you to follow the path of Kriiton. If you agree, after reaching at least level 30, you will join the Outlaws in the Glory to the Rabble mission.
How to join the Clerics?
Joining the Clerics in Elex 2 is possible after joining the Albs. After joining the Albs, complete The Duties of a Scout mission first. This way, advance to a higher rank and unlock access to the next quest - The Duties of a Trooper.
During this mission, you will be able to join the Clerics. During the meeting with Shira, side with the Clerics. Thanks to this, Hagen will offer you the rank of regent - you can become one after reaching at least level 30. You will then gain access to Cleric skills, as well as the best Cleric armor.
