Reputation | Activities and hints Watch Dogs Guide
Last update: 02 February 2017
Reputation in Watch_Dogs is not the key element, for the course of the game, although I recommend that you do not ignore it altogether. Thanks to maintaining the reputation level high, you will be able to decrease the frequency of initiating police pursuits . The better the reputation, the lower the frequency of broadcasting the information on Aiden. As you know,, from the previous chapter of this guide, hanging around the place where the information is broadcasted, may result in being recognized by a passer-by, who will then alarm the police about your character's current whereabouts.
The current reputation level is displayed each time after you perform an action that influences it (more about them below). Apart from that, you can look it up, by bringing up the smartphone and accessing the statistics window (the above screenshot).
First of all, you can improve on your reputation by performing the actions that are connected with rescuing the innocents. What is meant here is, e.g. eliminating a criminal, who took a civilian hostage, or assaulted a random passer-by. The actions that have a negative effect on the reputation are the ones connected with attacking the innocents, including policemen. It is worth noting here that you receive the most points of "bad reputation" by murdering someone, instead of tackling them down. While fighting the hostile policemen, you can try to wound each one of them, instead of bringing about brutal executions.
