After you throw the Lure, you need to activate it by hacking into it

One of the most useful gadgets is the Lure, which is used, as the name suggest, you distract the enemies. The main perk of the lure is the fact that you can throw it against any surface, glue to the ceiling or a wall. After you throw the device, you still need to activate it, by means of hacking into it. It is especially advisable to use lures in the locations, in which, between you and the destination point, there are enemies, who cannot be lured away in any other way (because, e.g. there are no hack-able objects nearby).

Interfering with police scans will allow you to lose the pursuit

Another useful gadget is Jam Coms and it is worth remembering about it, whenever Aiden is wanted by the police. The operation of this device consists in interfering with police scans, which makes it difficult for the police forces to determine the current location of your character.

Thanks to Blackout, you can easily get out of an ambush

One of the most powerful gadgets in the game is the Blackout, whose operation can be tested, for the first time, still during the first main mission of the campaign mode (after that, you unfortunately need to unlock this gadget again, by unlocking an appropriate ability). This gadget, as the name suggests, veils temporarily, a part of the city in darkness, which allows Aiden to lose/attack policemen, or any other chasing hostiles, by surprise

Target grenades at group of enemies or vehicles

If you prefer a more aggressive approach, it is advisable that you unlock the ability of crafting frag grenades, early into the game. They are specially effective, while attempting to eliminate groups of enemies or eliminating the opponents hiding behind, e.g. vehicles.
