Contract types | Fixer Contracts Watch Dogs Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Below, you will find short descriptions of the most important premises of each, of the four types of the Fixer Contracts. Some of the contracts are different than the rest of them and, to learn the details, see the following pages of this chapter. Also there, you can find the information on the requirements that you need to meet, in order to get the maximum reward for the mission.
Interception
In the contracts of this category, your primary objective is, usually, to catch up with the car that you are chasing, to be able to steal the valuable data. Just like in the similar main missions, the game is forbearing and allows you to resume the downloading process, over and over again (it is interrupted if the car that you are chasing, gets too far away). The second part of the mission is the neutralization of the car involved in the chase and it is a good idea to use hacking to your aid, here (bollards, spikes, etc.). It is worth adding that the other enemy-driven cars also take part in many of these missions. It is best to search out the opportunities to hack effectively, to prevent them from obstructing you too much, from performing the main activities.
Decoy
In the contracts of this category, you need to reach the successive checkpoints, within the allotted time limit. The basic handicap here is the fact that Aiden, at the same time, is being tracked by the police. I strongly recommend that you obtain the capacity number of Jam Coms, before you start each next mission, thanks to which you will be able to obstruct the police from tracking you down. Starting a police pursuit does not equal failing the mission but, it is much more difficult to reach the checkpoints and, at the same time, fight back the police (especially if Aiden is riding a bike, which he can be easily thrown off).
Transporter
In the contracts of this type, Aiden needs to deliver cars from point A to point B and, depending on the mission type, you need to deliver one, two, or even three vehicles. In these missions, two factors are of key importance. First of all, the amount of the reward depends on the condition of the vehicle so, it is crucial that you avoid major collisions, while driving/riding (it is a good idea to slow down time, at the more difficult moments). Secondly, it matters how fast you reach your destination. I recommend that you open the world map, at the beginning of each mission and specify the route. You do not need to stick closely to the readings from the GPS because, in many cases, taking shortcuts yields better results.
Getaway
In the contracts from this category, you need to steal a vehicle, lose the pursuit and reach, without being spotted, the zone where you need to deliver the vehicle. Definitely, the most problematic is the last step. Right after you lose the pursuit (remember to hack into the elements of the environment to stop the chasing cars) you need to locate the drop zone (it is a random point on the map) and avoid being spotted again, along your way there. For that purpose, it is a good idea to keep an eye on the readings of the minimap and hide in the car, or drive along the side roads, whenever necessary. Starting the pursuit again, does not mean failing the mission, but it is much more difficult to score well, then.
