Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty: How to defeat the MaxTac Operators? Cyberpunk 2077 guide, walkthrough

Max-Tac Operators are a group of bosses from the story mission Delivery to Los Padres from the Phantom Liberty DLC. Our guide to Cyberpunk 2077 tells you how to eliminate all the minibosses and how to cooperate with Reed during the fights at the convoy.

In the Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos main quest in the Phantom of Liberty DLC, you have to defeat a group of MaxTac operators who are quite challenging mini-bosses. This page from the Cyberpunk 2077 guide explains when these operators appear, how to avoid their unique attacks and how to defeat bosses with Reed's help.

1. You can face a group of operators in the Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos main job. You can do it only if you have chosen to work with Reed.
2. The main part of the quest is an attack on a convoy transporting Songbird. After getting rid of the NCPD escort, V must investigate the main van. A group of mini-bosses will emerge from it.

Fighting a group of mini-bosses

1. During this confrontation, watch how Reed behaves. He will target specific operators (red beam) and his attacks can temporarily paralyze them. You can also stun enemies by hitting their weak points if you have the Vulnerability Analytics skill from the Relic tree.
2. After a given operator has been stunned for a short time, they will be defenseless and, for example, will not avoid your fire or move quickly to another place. Use this to defeat them faster.

1. Try to be on the move and use vehicles and walls as a cover. Remember to heal since the operators can deal massive damage. Don't stray too far from the ambush site, or you will not be able to get support from Reed.
2. You can hack operators if you have the right abilities - this will allow you to, e.g. temporarily disable their weapons.
3. Watch out for the sniper operator and the hacker operator - the latter can shut V's system down. The game will warn you about it (example in the picture). Get to that operator by following the red line.
