The new expansion to the game, unfortunately, in addition to new content and improved gameplay, also introduced annoying bugs such as audio issues. Players complain of having various sound problems during gameplay. While driving a car, some people struggle to hear the engine due to missing sound. For others, it bugs even when firing weapons or talking with people in the game.
How to fix audio issues in Cyberpunk 2077?
If you belong to a group of people affected by this error, you have come to the right place. Follow the steps below to resolve this problem:
- First of all, uninstall the game. Make sure that all files that had to do with Cyberpunk 2077 have been deleted. Check the drives carefully. Some old, incompatible files can cause sound problems, that’s why you have to do this.
- To be sure, shut down the system and restart it. Then reinstall and launch the game. Everything should return to normal.
An earlier solution to the problems was to delete folder with mods. However, CD Project has announced that with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion, mods have been automatically disabled. Nevertheless, if you have encountered sound problems, it's worth checking whether you have such a folder in your game files and if so, delete it even before reinstalling the title.
