- Reaching the vantage point
- Scanning vehicles and finding netrunners' car
- Reaching the netrunner's vehicle and hiding in the trunk
- Taking control of the vehicle
- Getting to the meeting point
- Putting on the netrunner outfit and downloading access codes
First point of no return
- Starting this story mission will temporarily block free exploration. Immediately after its completion, you'll begin the next main quest Firestarter. In this quest, you are faced with one of the most important choices regarding your future ally.
- We recommend creating separate game saves before engaging in the described mission and additionally right after starting another one. This will allow you to return to the point before your choice in order, for instance, to better play out the various story lines that appear after the main choice.
Reaching the vantage point
- Start by calling Reed.
- The vantage point is located next to an intersection in the central part of Dogtown. You can reach it by climbing the scaffolding, as shown in the picture. Sit near the edge of the rooftop.
Scanning vehicles and finding netrunners' car
- You must use the scanner on vehicles approaching the intersection - they'll be coming from the right. There is plenty of time for each scan. Also ignore the accident that occurs at the intersection.
- Netrunners' vehicle - Sport R-7 Charon shown in the picture - will appear after about 2 minutes and scanning it will update the mission objective.
Reaching the netrunner's vehicle and hiding in the trunk
- You have to go to the parked car in the underground parking lot. You don't have to hurry. The parking lot isn't far away so you can get there on foot.
- Talk to Reed and choose the option to remotely open the trunk, which you must then enter.
Taking control of the vehicle
- From this point, you can switch between cameras that show, for instance, the view from the hood or the cabin of the vehicle. Optionally, you can also hack the system and gain some eurodollars.
- Wait for the netrunners to arrive. Initially, you just have to watch their ride.
- After you get a new mission objective, you can ask Reed to listen to the rest of the conversation or immediately take control of the car.
Getting to the meeting point
- Drive to the place where Alex and Reed are waiting for you. Avoid crashes and drawing attention of the Barghest.
- You can't drive too slow, because you have to make it in time before the netrunners target you (the bar at the top of the screen).
- Netrunners will temporarily regain control at some point. Wait a few seconds and you'll be able to drive again. Enter the garage, as shown in the picture.
Putting on the netrunner outfit and downloading access codes
- In subsequent dialogues, you can react in different ways to the execution of netrunners - none of your reactions will negatively affect your relationship with Alex and Reed.
- Pull the netrunner's outfit off the rack. Open the inventory, go to the outfits tab and put it on.
- You can download access codes after interacting with Aurore's corpse.
- Get in the car - you can choose the driver's or passenger's seat. Activate the behavioral imprint, allowing Alex and V to change their appearances. You can take a look in the mirror.
- Stating your willingness to act will start the next main quest Firestarter. You must attend to it immediately without the possibility of freely exploring Dogtown again.
