- Crossing the garage
- Reaching the roof of the construction site
Initiating the quest
- Dog Eat Dog is the first main task of the expansion that starts the Phantom Liberty storyline. You can start and proceed with the expansion storyline independently of the base game storyline.
- On How to start the expansion? page of our guide, we list the requirements you need to meet in order for the Phantom Liberty storyline to be initiated. In short - you need to advance in the main story enough or begin a new game with a character tailored for the DLC.
- With the requirements met, V will be contacted by mysterious character known as Songbird. She will invite you to see her in Dogtown.
Reaching the Dogtown border and finding Songbird
- You need to reach the outpost at the Dogtown border. It can be found in Pacifica district. Later in the game, you'll be able to drive through the post, but this time you need to approach on foot. Take a moment to look around and Songbird will appear.
- During your encounter with Songbird, you'll unlock a new Perk tree and receive 3 Relic points to distribute how you see fit. To learn more about the new perk tree, visit the Relic Tree page of the guide.
Finding the entrance to the old garage
- Songbird will lead you to a container - go through it to enter the restricted zone.
- On the way to the garage you can sneak past enemies, hack or attack straight on. Nevertheless, open combat may bring the whole neighborhood on you and as a result, is not recommended. Eventually you will reach the garage door and you need to raise it.
- Inside, you'll find a sheet of metal from the screenshot - moving it will unlock a place to jump down. You must explore a small yellow area marked on the minimap to locate an Access Point. You have to plug into it.
Crossing the garage
- Use the moving platform and you'll reach a large abandoned garage in Dogtown. There are no enemies in this location, but you must avoid falling into chasms.
- Along the way, look for and use ramps, knocked-down cars and other crossings as a means to continue the journey. Some of them have to be climbed. Now, you can optionally push the platform and unlock a shortcut (screenshot), but you need at least 6 Body points to do that action. Otherwise, you have to take the longer route.
- You have to reach the elevator and choose stadium as destination.
Reaching the roof of the construction site
- Along the way, you'll need to raise a gate and this action requires 3 Body points. You will reach a location with shops, black market goods and services - using them in this quest is optional.
- Take the path next to athlete statues and reach the marked door. You'll receive a new mission objective - reaching the top of the construction site. Continue by using various ramps and ladders.
- You'll receive a new mission objective - to restart the generator, and to find what you need, explore the yellow area marked on the minimap. Reach the fuse box from the screenshot and interact with it. This will allow you to use the elevator leading straight to the roof of the construction site.
- Approach Songbird and you will witness the crash of a plane with Madam President on board. Jump into the chute to quickly return to the ground level. A new quest - Hole in the Sky - will be initiated.
